It's just hard listening to a president bashing a HUGE group of peaceful citizens concerned about the economy, whatever their name is. Then letting the Mexican President bash Arizona law in congress.

I remember when protesters where against Bush because of the wars

Well the wars are still here, where did the protesters go?

Funny how when I grew up in California, we celebrated Cinco De Mayo, we learned Spanish in the 6th grade, we learned about the culture of Mexico, but you're telling me they shouldn't have to do that?

Should we only be concerned about large populations of a different language?

Probably not very "presidential" of him, I agree. But the teabaggers do it to themselves. They are an embarrassment to the country with their misspelled signs and videos like that lunatic a few weeks ago that was raving about killing people.

I'm sure there are still plenty, but we are too deeply involved in Iraq & Afghanistan to just walk out at this point.

The US gives huge subsidies to US farmers, who then sell their food so cheaply south of the border that local farmers are unable to compete, because they do not receive subsidies from their government. So, they lose their farms. What should they do? Lose their farms and work for $2 an hour in their home country, or come here illegally and make much more than that?

I'm not calling America evil. I'm saying that it has major involvement in all this. In the words of Jeremiah Wright, America's "chickens coming home to roost".

In costa rica you are considered n1ggers... most of the violent crime that takes place there is done by nicaraguans...

is that the us's fault as well?

Totally agree. All these corps that outsource to India and elsewhere are doing the exact same thing, the only difference is the people "stealing" the jobs aren't physically here. I think anyone that has used outsourced work from anywhere should not be whining about illegals, but working on improving their own worth to the planet.

And yes, drop kick the SOB, Obama knew what he was going to say before he said it, you know that!

I guess I really don't care that a President shows respect by bowing, kissing a ring, cheek or giving a hand shake - it's all exactly the same thing.

Clinton and Bush both bowed before other people... I don't care to lookup all the rest that have show some type of respect equal how that country accepts it.

If you don't have a problem with that, then it speaks volumes about your character.

The number was left out of YOUR release... nobody else needed to know or cares.

I wasn't aware every president kept every promise made.. I wasn't aware it was always possible, but it was still something they wanted. And I guess I don't expect him to do everything he said he would in 2 years.

Sure, I would have loved us to mostly pull out of the Iraq war, but as stated when he was elected - it's a f'ed up place that has to be taken care of, one that we screwed up.

His campaign on pulling out of the war was the Iraq war. he said he would be sending more troops to Afgan from day one, and people support that. He did miss his pull out deadline for Iraq, but he did pull troops as well and also stated it would be years before they all could be removed.

All in all, Afgan happened faster than expected and Iraq is taking longer.

Re: Protests

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/March_2...ti-war_protest

On March 20, 2010, thousands marched by the White House in Washington, DC, to protest the U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The event was organized by A.N.S.W.E.R. and other groups. The scheduling of the event ties it to the seventh anniversary of the start of the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003

I remember hearing about it on the TV.

Everytime there are protesters, you can say the same thing, but the liberal media treats them differently. People misspell a word on a sign. Maybe our schools would be better if we didn't spend so much on wars and illegal aliens?

That's working out real well down in the Gulf.

They have better valves that shut off automatically, but the Government doesn't make them use them, before that, our record was pretty damn good

Yes but this is quite disturbing to me that we are too worried about whether our field workers have a piece of paper in their pocket than we are about the complete destruction of the Gulf of Mexico.

Just because it isn't going well doesn't mean those people should stop protesting.

Where did you get that?

The only people that can do anything about sealing the hole is BP, yet government officials have said they are going to take over, yeah right. If I wasn't so busy this next month, I wold go with my brother to help with the clean up.

I would help at the border, but it's too dangerous, people get killed there.
