do you know how much a govt contractor makes vs a soldier...

i say kick out the contractors and let the troops stay..

the last i heard, we still have an all volunteer military...

when people sign up for service they know there is a chance they will go to war..

even if the war is a total mistake, i am not down for getting my tax dollars spent for over priced security guards...

Looks like he is fighting a tactic. We can not even rid LA of gang violence yet somehow we are going to be able to change a whole political and religious culture of the entire region and Obama thinks that is a modest goal....

So what are the steps to make sure that we stop "Afghanistan from returning to being a terrorist haven"?

You are correct. Of course, we also have a large number of volunteers that have never picked up a newspaper so apparently were unaware that they might get called into a war zone.

But, that is exactly what he promised. Before he was elected he promised we would be at this point by 16 months but changed it to 19 months shortly after taking office. Oh, when he was mentioning timetables he also said that the exact dates weren't set in stone and would instead be based on information available at any given time.

It's another promise kept, no matter what the maroons say.
