Concert go-ers. What's your next concert?
I have Judas Priest this month. :thumbsup
|
Judas priest also. It,s the last tour(supposedly, until they realize they can't do anything else with their lives, and do a reunion in 4 years)
|
stopped going to big concerts long ago, but do love small venue shows and local band scenes in both new orleans and los angeles.,
|
Los Protones (The Protons) tomorrow - Peruvian Surf Rock!
|
Deadmau5 tomorrow night at the Rogers Centre
Noel Gallagher on Monday and Tues at Massey Hall! |
I used to work for braveconcerts, so seeing 50 shows a year was normal back in 2005-06.
I only go to the "huge, once in a lifetime, legendary" shows nowadays. |

Fortunately none ...

I was trying to get Cure tickets and 3 concert dates sold out in 33 minutes. I am very unhappy about this.
|
I saw Evanecense at Metropolis last week. They were great, and the Metropolis is my favourite concert venue (sound is so damn perfect in there). I am anxiously waiting for Rob Zombie to tour again. Otherwise no concerts in my schedule.

Steven Wilson (of Porcupine Tree) on the 16th at the Opera House in Toronto. The best concert I've ever been to was Porcupine Tree last year at Radio City Music Hall in New York. I expect this one to be on par with that.
The album these come from - Grace For Drowning - comes in a BluRay version encoded in DTS-HD Master Audio and is simply mind blowing to listen to on a good setup. |

Have seen the local Czech old time star Marie Rottrova the last week and can't see anything worth my time in the near future.
What I have to see once more is THE CURE - have seen then 3 times and need 1 more show before I die:pimp Priests are not exactly my cup of tea but got respect for them so I would go |
not a concert, but thinking Mark Farina middle of the month

Positive. That was in 2003. it was for the Damnation album Opeth had just released.I saw it @ The medley in Montreal. The room was filled with Metalheads and it was their soft album, It was hilarious. Wilson from porcupine went on stage and said" If you're looking for death-metal madness, you will be disappointed" and started playing. |

I'm going. |
Recently saw Chris Cornell (singer from sound garden) do an acoustic show in a small venue. It was amazing. Also saw Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam do a solo acoustic show. For my money Vedder is one of the all time great singers and he was incredible.
The next show I have planned to see is Wilco in Feb. The girlfriend wants to go see Trans Siberian Orchestra so I will likely go to that sometime around Christmas. |
hopefully social distortion this weekend
|
Rammstein in Berlin in a few weeks!

I'm a musician, and I have rather eclectic musical tastes...
Tonight I am going to see the Emperor Norton Suite performed by the San Francisco Jazz Mafia: If anyone is interested, they will be performing tonight at Yoshi's Jazz Club in San Francisco: http://www.yoshis.com/sanfrancisco "Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.? :stoned ADG |
