What if you went from hero to zero

Hi

To cut a long story short, lets say you lost all your friends / burnt bridges etc etc and because you no longer work in the City (proper job, work colleges etc etc) you are now a web master so at the moment their are just hardly any opportunities to make new connections, go out, pull women etc etc because you sit in front of your screen

So how the fuck are you suppose to get your life back?

I mean sure you can go to the gym by your self, go shopping but that also will not really help you make a new buddy or two to get out and about

I am sure some people can relate to this, when say you move state or country......

Any advice?

Thx

Well you gotta have some hobbies right? There are lots of clubs even for older people in most bigger neighborhoods. I work online full time and since I just moved 7 states I have made new friends here since I play poker I signed up for alot of the home games as well as ones that are sponsored by charities so that helped me to meet people. The gym or walking track is a great place to meet people especially if its part of your regular routine. For a guy it shouldn't be that hard if you ever go to the bars or to shoot pool. You will definitely meet people that way.

sarettah 09-09-2012 10:18 AM

Make internet friends :thumbsup

j/k. Me, when I have moved to a new place and want to meet folks, I start with the grocery store. Great place to meet people.

For me, I got involved in urban exploration photography about 12 years ago after moving to a new city. Wound up meeting a lot of fellow explorers/photographers through local websites and various online forums.

Failing that - I'd suggest getting involved in some sort of local volunteer work. Great place to meet new people and possibly benefit your community.

Join a local club (photography if that's an interest).

Why not? Challenge the winner of the game going on; or just practice. If there is another pool player there you will find out soon enough.

You must've been a zero before you became a hero, right? Why not do the same thing again?

helterskelter808 09-09-2012 10:43 AM

If you have to try to make friends, you're doing it wrong. What kind of question is this? It's like asking how to breathe. It just happens when you're doing other shit.

The Sultan Of Smut 09-09-2012 10:53 AM

Like everyone said you can find a club focusing on a hobby or play a sport.

Lol, I was never zero, I was normal

......but when I started to become a hero then the World just became my enemy

....some shit happened all in one go and now I have to start from scratch

.....at least if I had one connection left then I can go out and about and make new connections

......oh and before, I use to be in really good shape so people automatically want to know you without you even saying anything

You know, muscles, the clothes, the talk, the money....... I gotta rebuild from scratch!

One thing I have learnt from having to start from absolutely scratch is I am willing to take more risks coz now I am out of my comfort zone

Man makes the clothes, clothes don't make the man.

Oh and mama said knock you out.

Oh you want to be a douche bag? That's easy. Become really insecure about yourself and then build a wall with those things you mention.

~Ray 09-09-2012 11:44 AM

take a few classes at the community college. you will meet like minded people taking the same classes as you

Rochard 09-09-2012 11:54 AM

When I accepted the job at Playboy I moved to Lincoln California. We had no friends there at all, and it was an interesting and quiet time in our life. We made a few friends who were all mostly parents of my kid's friends, but no one too interesting. It wasn't until we got involved with my kids sports league that we made too many friends. Now we cannot go out anywhere without running into someone.

sounds like you need a change of scenery

epitome 09-09-2012 01:31 PM

If you moved you meet one friend. They invite you to stuff and make more friends. Then it snowballs. Then you wish you didn't have so many friends.

Put the webmastering on autopilot (crons, paid approvals, automatic submitters, etc.) and go out more... :1orglaugh

DamageX 09-09-2012 01:37 PM

Rent-A-Kid <--- grab one and go to the park. Meet single mothers. They usually crave cock real badly.

Well, if you had friends before and they just vanished from the earth, I would say they were not great friends...

anyway, you are depressed today, dude.. tomorrow it will be another and new day and you will feel better, go out, buy a bicycle.

By not sitting in front of a screen. Go out and do something organized. Sports is always good for that - very easy to meet cool people you'd like if you go play a sport you like. There are groups of all kinds though so doesn't have to be sports. You could take a class of some kind - in fact, that may be the easiest way as an adult to make friends, because people tend to get into study groups or are otherwise forced to do stuff with each other in a class.

He is rite. Try a study group where they have no choice and are forced to interact with you that may be the best way.
