and right now i am re-formatting it and will put Windows 7 back.

just use it from the desktop and it basically is windows 7. that said, yeah, there really isnt any reason to upgrade from 7 if you dont have a touchscreen or aren't using it on a tablet.

have no issues with win8 other than nivida driver on 1 machine and 1 small outlook BU app :2 cents:

Win8 is cool once you get used to it.

I hate metro so I use classic-shell to have my normal menu. I still use win8 since it reduce my encoding time with adobe premiere pro of 20%

Also with windows you buy every other os. The second time is a charm for them. lol I played with a few touch screen desktops and I dont like it. To me its awkward.

it forces me to have a shitty MS account, i can't install the regular Skype, i have to search for settings all the time - and all that even after installing Classic Shell. fuck that.

Why can't you install regular Skype? Installs and works fine for me on desktop.

I use Start8 and rarely see the metro interface. The desktop enhancements and performance are enough for me to stick with it :2 cents:

I have XP on my work PC and LOVE it, I have Vista on my laptop because its to much a hassle to downgrade and get the proper drivers.

I don't have an MS account... I deleted all that shit

I use Windows 8 and Arch Linux...my computer is both a PC Gaming and Workstation computer :)

All the pics I saw it looked like the Xbox 360 dashboard. I'd probably end up trying to hook up the Kinect to my computer...

I purchased a very high end Sager laptop several months ago and it came loaded with Win 7 Ultimate and a free "upgrade" to Win 8 that I am not bothering with. Win 7 I am very happy with, no need to mess with that mess that Win 8 looks like.

Windows 8 is the worst! You can use Windows 7 with touch screens as well. They sell those all-in-one computers where it's just a touch screen monitor with a keyboard and mouse.

Microsoft is a dying company. People don't realize the only reason they're still around is because of legacy. The future is not Windows and PC's.

It is quite funny how win8 is reason why valve started to port more games for linux.Today i just read about new version of windows called "blue" and it seems it will be released faster then in usual time frame,wondering they will fix that metro bullshit.Also,there is some programs which removes metro and make win8 to look like win7,but didnt tried it so cant tell does it work or not.

People would move to linux,but the reason why they wont do it is same in 99% of cases:
they have some xyz program which works only on windows and they cant make it run on linux.

i am looking at a clean Win 7 desktop in Windows Classic (2000) style and i feel peace and happiness... ;)
