G.A.S has struck... nice addition to your growing collection.

Looks nice. I still only have the one guitar that I got in the 80's. I figure if I can't play all that well, I may as well not play all that well on one guitar, hehe. Although it would be nice for variety from time to time.

Lots of bootlegs out of Korea (I bought a cool Gibson acoustic knock-off for $75 green - no one could tell the difference). :warning
Anyway, if it sounds good to you, who cares! :thumbsup Check out this 50's "fender" guitar I saw on Craigslist: http://images.thezooom.com/uploads/2...Car-Guitar.jpg :stoned ADG |

The switch is really old and worn obviously and sometimes it'll pop out of position back to the center. Most of the gold plate is worn down. I used to have to original witch hat knobs and not sure wtf I did with them. It's antique white btw, cream colored now. The frets are so low you can barely feel them, but every note rings clear. I find it damn near impossible to play anything else as a result. I'll probably die with that thing, heh. |

No I haven't but it looks a lot like another that caught my eye at Daves. An ES 335, which is next on my hitlist. |

Last time I've owned a 335 was over 20 years ago. It was in my collection when I moved from electric to classical. It's one of those I regret selling. One of the things I notice is that the contrasts between 335 is a lot greater than les pauls and SG's. In the last year I have played a number of them and they were dogs. The weather changes we have here effect hollow body guitars a lot more than solids. This time of year when it's quite humid they sound dead. Dave did have a couple that I liked and I will go back up there in the fall and look again. The block neck is what I will get. This is probably the one http://davesguitar.com/products/gibs...d-limited-run/ |

but that natural finish most closely resembles a goldtop super fancy finish, which i think looks fantastic on a 335 body, in fact, i've been trying to make a epi riviera p93 work, but the pickups on it are not good enough p-90 for my software to register some notes, in particular a-minor aint happening on cheap p90s, so back it went. maybe down the road i can find a cheapy and swap out the pups for some wolftone p90s but check out this goldtop riviera p93, ain't it cool! http://www.gear4music.com/media/49870/600/preview.jpg |
and i recognize that bridge and tailpiece on that gibbie 335, fender snagged em and put em on this tc-90! hahah, hadn't realized that, yet another cool quirk on this guitar, fender did em up in a smoked chrome finish, looks super.

That is a good looking guitar. I am going to have to give one of those a test drive. The downside of buying Gibson custom shop, is it's always risky to take them to a gig. I have a 67 SG that I bought back when I was playing regularly in bands and it is so beat up that I keep it just for the memories. It would be painful to have that happen to a custom shop guitar. |

that epi p93 is wired uniquely, that center pup is not activated by the 3-way switch, it's always on, just have to turn it *off* via volume knob. i busted my rear trying to make that guitar work, the goldtop irl is unreal, like a beautiful blonde, mesmerizing. it was the triple pickups too that attracted me. but with the music i like to play, a fully hollow electric is prolly gonna have to happen, i might swap out the ps 72 for one, but the more i read about that one, mij, along side only 1 other 6 string made there, that being a fenedr custom shop, i can't recall which model, but it's in that $5k range, i would like to hang on to it just in case it appreciates in value, + it plays the best of any guitar i've ever played, it's amazing, i'm often times kinda amazed that i'm hitting some notes when i do on the 72, doesn't happen near as much on any other guitar yet. |
the ps 72 is made on the same assembly line as the fender '62 tele, according to what i've been told
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/deta...FS1p7AodpSwAsA in 2011 :: only the Geddy Lee Jazz Bass, Marcus Miller Jazz Bass, Jaguar Bass, Jazzmaster, '62 Tele Custom and Jaguar HH sharing this country of origin. |

Not trying to be mean man. It looks pretty. Why dont you give it a test tun through a Fender Twin or a Marshall stack, make a video and put it up on youtube? Sound and happiness are your friends. Koreans did not make the 1962 model Tele when it came out. |
i can say this, i am holding a 10 year old korean made guitar in my hands right now and there's not a single sharp fret on it.
