Same question. Launching a new site to part the consumer and their money is one thing. Actually providing REAL value seems to be, at best, an afterthought for 99% of the crap being thrown out there.

Plus, where is the originality in your branding? Taking the look and feel of the landing pages and wording from Adult Friend Finder and calling it your own is not going to propel your sites above the crowd.

Sites like AFF and Ashley Madison spend millions on advertising on google and mainstream media to ensure that they have a REAL cross section of male and female members. What are you doing to ensure that your site is not a wasteland of testosterone, where the closest thing to any member having breasts is a guy in his basement eating a bucket of KFC?

This is a perfect example of why the adult industry is collapsing. On any other 'business' forum, if a potential retailer was to ask a manufacturer to sell them on the merits of their product, the manufacturer would do do everything they could to yell from the mountain tops, preaching the virtues of their product.

In the adult industry, if an affiliate program is asked to sell us on the virtues (or in this case...are there ANY real female members), the response is pretty much "but look, it's a real pretty color".

Actually there is some change to get women to join through regular porn sites.

My teen site has 13% of female traffic according to google, milf site has 12 %. Though it would still be quite sausage fest, about 10 guys for every chick.

The women probably won't join through banners depicting lusty teens, etc.. There has to be different kinds of banners for them. And here is a business suggestion: offer bigger PPS/ revshare for female members (paid to webmasters). Even clubs and bars let women in free/ cheaper, etc., but in this case you would have to offer the incentive to webmasters. Bars/clubs are very good example; sausage fest doesn't serve anyone's interests.. besides gay dating.

Okay, assuming that some women will join through porn site banners, there are other factors to consider...

First, most banners are squarely aimed at male clientele with wording like, fuck a hot babe tonight. Or real hot sluts want to fuck you. You may have 13% female traffic, but the percentage that are going to jump on ads that completely degrade women is a considerably smaller amount.

Second, in the mainstream world, say Apple was to introduce a song sharing platform, cost $29.95 per month, but you can only share with people in your own city or town. (Similar to dating, in that the number of members in your own region is much more important then the number of members system wide).

Would Apple launch the service with zero members, charge full price, and then let the fallout occur when for the first few months you might be the only member in your region? Nope, they would develop the site and member base through incentives or what not to existing clientelle from their other products, and then launch the site only when there is enough of a user base to provide the members with real value.

Is Datetronix doing anything like this? Who knows. Like virtually all of the other dating sites pushed on GFY, the details provided don't go any further than 'but isn't it pretty".

I would have agreed with a lot of that - 12 years ago - You're not even close in 2015...

Seriously; there was quite recently news about some Japanese dating site. They had something like tens or hundreds of millions revenue, but only one real women in their service (they ended up in court for scam). :)

FYI: I have met women from real dating sites. Face to face on date. I hope that Datetronix's "Most complete dating platform" includes some women too. You know; to be complete.

I am going to let you guys on a secret about dating sites. We (as affiliates) and the dating companies itself are selling a fantasy to the dumbass guys who sign up to the sites thinking they are going to find dates and hot girls to bang. It's an illusion and the greatest trick ever pulled next to the devil convincing the world he doesn't exist.

The reality is that the ratio of "real" women to men signups are going to be very low and the likelihood of a hot girl signing up to dating sites are going to be low. What you get are

1. Generated female profiles created by some indian
2. Hookers on the site
3. Mentally unstable/psychotic Kathy Bates in "Misery" types
4. And a very tiny amount of normal girls.

But the dumb guys keep coming back for more, it's a perfect storm, all you need is the hype/marketing/shiny look to make the site popular and the sheep will come.

And I would agree with you on one point as well. Things have changed in the last 12 years. Then, we would have called this fraud, criminal misrepresentation, a boiler room and so on. Now we call it an acceptable business practice.

And why hasn't the OP come back to defend their site. Quite simply, they can't.

How does a site like arrangementfinders.com work then? I know several people p;ersonally that join and gets tons of real women to come over and hang out and it gets crazy kinky..........they own like a sugardaddy somethng too but I never see them advertised.

Arrangement Finders does advertise, quite heavily in fact, including billboards in some of the largest cities in the US. And take a look at their branding and messaging. Everything is designed to encourage a member base consisting of a healthy mix of both sexes.

To test it out for yourself, go to arrangementfinders.com, and then go to FreeHookupSearch.com, one of datetronix's sites. Right away, the messaging makes arrangment finders feel more legitimate. Do you really think any female is going to jump into joining FreeHookupSearch.com based on the messaging on their front page?

And that my friend is the rub. The Datetronix business model is not to provide value to the consumer. It is to part as many males from their money as possible, without incurring the costs of building a REAL adult dating site.

It is not a trick, it is a scam, and we did already know it. Neither it is about selling fantasy, selling fantasies are more clearly that, what you described is just a scam even though it includes fantasy element.

I give you an example what selling fantasy is: when I visited Lapland (Finnish Lapland) with my parents as a kid: there was an opportunity to try out gold panning and I even bought a pan and a sand bag with tiny bits of gold in there (as a souvenir). It was about selling gold digging fantasy. However there is much gold related scams; there is fucking difference between a scam and selling a fantasy (legitimately).

sugar daddy sites like arrangementfinders and a regular dating site are two different business models. On arrangement sites, it's completely reversed if you are comparing the "real" female members and "men" ratio. The majority of the female profiles are for the most part real on arrangement sites.

The whores sign up looking to land a "rich guy" to spoil them for sexual favors. Where a traditional dating site has a large pool of men and very few females to choose from. It's the exact opposite in sugar daddy sites. You have a large pool of "real" females and a small pool of "rich men". While there may be some fake profiles, the majority of the profiles on an arrangement site is real.

The main difference is that you won't get too many recurring memberships from these rich men because the women practically throw themselves at the men the minute they sign up because it's like a free for all among the women because the women outnumber the men by a large margin. So getting back to my point, you won't have to many recurring memberships because the "rich men" will find their sugar baby fairly quickly and they won't visit the site again until they are looking for a new one. In most cases, these sugar daddy relationships last on average between 3 months - x number of years. It's different than reeling in a sucker on a regular dating site who will renew his membership over and over because these "fake" profile girls message him and there is a glimmer of hope that he will get laid :1orglaugh

Arrangement sites, the men get their Revenge because now they can be picky who they hook up with :). As the saying goes, "I found the female viagra, and it's called money".
