Are women more attractive now?
 

I've noticed in old pictures from the late 1800's to the 1950's women that used to be considered beautiful are average looking in todays standards.

Women today to me are considerably more attractive than women from yesteryear! Do you guys agree?

There's better makeup and photoshop nowadays not to mention those truckload of smartphone selfie camera filter apps.

There are more gyms also. Styles change. The standards for a decent body are much higher.

in the old days the women do not need to waste tons of time to be nice looking so they can go buy milk to the shop. now there is only beauty looking from everywhere, on the internet there is ton of informations how to look at least normal by the nowadays standarts, so it is hard to not be part of this stupid age :2 cents:

more consciousness about beauty influenced by internet, media, music videos, etc.

also make up, clothes and know-how about it are more available and affordable.

they are wearing less clothes..

life was harder also most women got married quite young and we all know what marriage does to a woman.

beauty standards evolved in various directions influenced by various things and events, just like everything else in the current age.

not to mention over-using and emphasizing sexuality in advertising.

Everything has changed. What was beautiful in the 1940s is not what was beautiful in the 1980s or now.

I like the 1980s. Tight clothes, short skirts, heavy make up. Big hair. Yum.

too bad many young women don't take care of eating healthy and exercise on regular basis and neglect themselves in late 20s early 30s.

Today's woman tends to be far more artificial and far higher maintenance than women from 60+ years ago.


NOT to forget that today's modern woman is just a FAT SLOB waiting to happen... That is if she already isn't one.

Better hair products, better sanitation, better nutrition, better healthcare, better dental care, better natal care. Also, beauty was mostly marketing back then, the ones we would consider pretty today (big lips, big ass, big tits, big teeth, big mouths, tan skin) would have been considered "low" and not attractive.

They did have us beat in waists though. Many of those girls had 18 inch waists even without corsets.

As already said, with photography, the equipment's better, for quality in photos & film. The era has changed style, the makeup, hair & clothing :2 cents:

Photoshop, makeups and plastic surgeries do the job.

I knew a woman 3 years ago when she was 25. The broad was skinny and really cute but she contacted me a few weeks ago before christmas and SHIT... She's a walking talking pork chop that believes the entire world owes her something.
