There needs to be on voting system that is used in all states, that is unconnected to any kind of internet, and that creates a paper trail and we should have people who are trained to run these things. As it is, we have many different systems in different places that are being run by volunteers. We love to talk about how voting is one of the cornerstones of democracy and yet we seem to do very little protect it and make it work.

If there was a universal system in place, it would make situations like what is going on in Florida much easier and less political.

Notice there are only "voting issues" in Republican run states. Republicans only gain & maintain power by lying, cheating, racial gerrymandering & voter suppression.

They trying to steal the election......alt right mantra.

Every election in Broward County is the same... votes being destroyed, not counted or outright disappearing, boxes of votes being discovered months later that weren't counted etc etc and have a record of days later countless thousands of Democrat votes showing up for a candidate to tip the scale.

Even now they refuse to follow protocols and are completely disobeying a court order.

I agree with you. It wouldn't be too difficult. What you need is a closed off system that physically doesn't touch the Internet. If it doesn't touch the Internet, you can't hack it.

The only reason any of these computers are connected to the Internet is because we demand constantly updated stats on a regular basis. Great - do it manually. Have one computer that does not connect to the network give out updated stats, read the stats off the screen, and have someone input them on a computer that is on the Internet. Easy peasy.

At the end of the day, everything can be downloaded onto disks, make multiple copies, and then transport them to the state capital where everything is downloaded to another computer network which is not on the Internet.

Photo ID and proof of address & citizenship should be required in every state.

That's not true.. in the HBO documentary that was made after the 2000 election (Hacking Democracy), it was shown you can change the vote on Dioboid voting machines by simply using a USB stick with a program that was written in less than 30 mins to change the vote by % or however you wanted.


It only requires 1 corrupt person with access to the count machine. Pretty much any state using Diboid machines is insecure and added bonus they have no paper ballots..
