Republicans are in for a wake up call

We're going to have a the first woman or black President, mark my words :2 cents:

BV 02-01-2008 09:28 AM

no way.......

cherrylula 02-01-2008 09:30 AM

The middle class is going to go nuts if Clinton and Obama run together. People hear McCain's 100 years in Iraq and they'd vote for Ronald McDonald if he ran just to avoid that.

Fap 02-01-2008 09:30 AM

I dont see it happening..

sweetcuties 02-01-2008 09:39 AM

ok, so Who's gonna be President? McCain, lol... What a joke! Once word really gets out that he wants to keep troops in Iraq for 100+yrs and have permanent troops, he won't have a shot. Plus, he's 80.

Romney won't get elected because he comes across as arrogent, he can't relate to the typical working man. He's also a flip-flopper.

To the people who say that Obama or Clinton doesn't have a chance is fucking dellusional... there's a strong surge within my party (Dem) and we will take back the White House to fix what the current asshat has done :2 cents:

stickyfingerz 02-01-2008 09:42 AM

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh The U.S. would vote in Mondale before they would vote in Obama or Clinton.

Yea, he's brought out a shitload of young first time voters more so than ANY other canidate in history! He's inspired people to get out there and vote.

tony286 02-01-2008 09:54 AM

70% of this country wants us out of iraq and you have grandpa saying 100 yrs and not a clue about the economy.

notoldschool 02-01-2008 09:55 AM

The scary part is he is as dumb if not dumber than Bush, which leads me to believe most Americans can relate and he will be our next president with Guliani as his side kick lackey. Did you see late night last night. Mccain is dumb as a box of rocks and when he hears the word "economy" the next thing out of his mouth is always "jihad" He knows nothing about running a country.

He may have looked like Tom Cruise 50 years ago but now all I see when he talks is

No offense but you have to be one of the dumbest people on the board... Just for the record, I don't have anything personal against you :winkwink:

McCain is a traitor. He tries to suppress any seeking of vietnam data to cover up the lies he has told to become the "mythical mccain"

The people who think "there's NO WAY a woman or black man can win" are the ones who just dont SEE properly.. Really, it's true. I have my finger on the pulse of America, and my hand on the boob of America. (By the way, it's real, and it's spectacular.)

Fletch XXX 02-01-2008 10:15 AM

this is one of the best quotes about him

Quote:

"McCain had roughly 20 hours in combat," explains Bill Bell, a veteran of Vietnam and former chief of the U.S. Office for POW/MIA Affairs -- the first official U.S. representative in Vietnam since the 1973 fall of Saigon. "Since McCain got 28 medals," Bell continues, "that equals out to about a medal-and-a-half for each hour he spent in combat. There were infantry guys -- grunts on the ground -- who had more than 7,000 hours in combat and I can tell you that there were times and situations where I'm sure a prison cell would have looked pretty good to them by comparison. The question really is how many guys got that number of medals for not being shot down."

To say that this country will never elect a woman or black person isn't exactly something to be proud of. It just shows how far behind in civilization a large part of this country is. This demographic makes up a signifigant portion of the Republican base.

Its obvious that you dont know shit about politics. There are plenty of reasons for him to stay in the race. Most importantly to remind people what a true conservative republican is.

You do realize that every election there is someone who brings "young first time voters," right?

Sad thing is, they never seem to get to the polling place before they close.

I believe that if Paul drops out then Obama gets the majority of his supporters

I agree with you for once, but I have to admit that this time things could be different.

ADL Colin 02-01-2008 10:54 AM

It's about even with plenty enough reasons it could go either way.

the best one is his claim that "as soon as the vietnamese pulled me out of the water, they beat me and brutally assaulted me"

here he is shaking the hand of the guy who "pulled him out of the water."

http://www.vietnamveteransagainstjoh..._oninhanoi.jpg

No POW would smile and hug a person said to have "beaten" him as a POW.

Quote:

Senator McCain is pictured embracing Mai Van On in Hanoi, November 13, 1996. On identified himself as one of the Vietnamese who pulled McCain from Hanoi's Truc Bach Lake, where McCain parachuted in 1967 after his bomber was shot down. McCain has said, many times, that, after pulling him from the lake, the Vietnamese brutally beat him and stabbed him with a bayonet.
he is a liar and anyone who has followed him knows this. he actively tries to stop families from gathering vietnam data due to "national security" because it would show his lies.

JUSTB 02-01-2008 11:40 AM

Obama may not be able to win by himself, Hilary may not be able to win by herself, but the 2 of them together will blow McCain out of the water.

It seems that could be the direction we're headed

Neither one of them will accept the vp slot. :2cents

TSGlider 02-01-2008 11:48 AM

Paul should just run as an independent. He's a goldwater republican, not a 21st century republican.

2012 02-01-2008 11:55 AM

I wish they would just come out and tell us who they picked... all this voting shit is cute but ... we've been butt raped for 8 years, ... I think the next eight we will be in store for a nice reach around :)

Pertaining to Iraq...niether Obama or Hillery will take our troops out of Iraq nor will any other President. Now both will probably reduce the number of troops over a period of time...but our troops are there to stay. We have troops in various numbers in around 90 countries and have significant numbers of troops in Germany...Japan and Korea...all wars that ended more than a half century ago. If the Democrats regain the executive branch there will be minor change to some extent but not neccessarily for the better.
