PREDICTION: BARACK OBAMA will be one of the worst presidents in history

In another time he could have been above average or even great but in one of the worst financial climates in history he takes office.

The big crowds and the chants of "yes we can" are just "hopes and dreams"

DamageX 01-21-2009 03:22 AM

Sometimes hoppes and dreams are all that's needed to pull people out of a tailspin.

papill0n 01-21-2009 03:35 AM

Obama seems like such an intelligent guy and everything I have heard him say so far sounds enthusiastic and positive. I think he is going to do very well.

hopes and dreams are not tangible things. They are just desires and desire gets you nowhere if you don't have drive.

If you don't have hopes and dreams then you don't have drive. There's a first step to everything.

Agreed, but what do you always hear on the news when they talk about the economy? They say "consumer confidence" is down. If he can inspire confidence in people again they will start to spend money and that is a big step in the right direction.

As for him being a great or shitty president. . . only time will tell.

He seems smart. He is young and energetic and seems to surround himself with pretty good people. Hopefully it all leads to him doing well.

Charisma goes a long way. Just see Hitler as an example. And Bush as an example for lack of it. :1orglaugh

buzzy 01-21-2009 04:11 AM

He will either be great or a disaster.

Nothing in between.

STR$ 01-21-2009 05:13 AM

he is too intelligent to fail

Allformyspace 01-21-2009 05:14 AM

Its not all him, but its the great team that he has around him that will make him the best president of all times. During these 2 years of campaigns his team never fucked up once, putting him in pole from the start, while everyone else slipped here, there and everyware.
I would have prefered Clinton, that way we would have had 2 presidents at the white house, but Barack will kill it!

StaceyJo 01-21-2009 05:43 AM

This is really a big challenge to Obama.

Nobody is EVER too intelligent to fail.

Cash 01-21-2009 06:03 AM

Charisma and good speeches have nothing to do with economy in crisis, so now he has to prove if he is a great president or just an average one. So far, he has no history of what he did well in the past.

tranza 01-21-2009 06:09 AM

It seems to me he will do a good job!

StuartD 01-21-2009 06:12 AM

Wait, so because the country is in terrible shape before he even takes office, Obama will go down as the worst? How does that work?

Hopes and dreams are not tangible, no. But they're also not easy to come by when the country is in terrible shape. Would you rather he promoted doom and gloom on the people in order to get people motivated again?

I just don't understand the reasoning of some people. Don't get me wrong, I don't predict any glory periods or anything. I am not even sure he'll be able to undo any of this.

BUT... to predict he'll be one of the worst because he can give people hope in their darkest times... to predict he'll be one of the worst because he's trying to fix 8 years of total misery by his predecessor... that just makes no sense whats so ever.

He's had one day on the job and already he's gotten people's hopes up but because he hasn't reversed the economy (in one day), you have already deemed him a failure. I wonder how far you'd go if your boss fired you a day after being hired because all you did was inspire his workers to work harder.

The situation that America is in now is tough. To get out of this mess will be a hell of a battle, for anyone. I believe that he'll be able to do the best job compared to the others running for president but how much good he'll be able to do to the economy is going to be interesting. Besides the crisis I think he's going to be a great president. Crisis wise, it's not easy to get a country out of a depression.

biggilo 01-21-2009 06:17 AM

Intelligence is no substitute for experience

HorseShit 01-21-2009 06:34 AM

Do you really think he could be any worse than the fucking pure bullshit we have had to deal with for the last 8 years? Fuck off idiot 2c

How many first time presidents have experience being president before?
Would you rather that we get another brain donor like Bush in with plenty of experience... in bankrupting companies?

It's amazing how eager people are to hate some people. OMG, he's smart. How can we hate him for it??

the reason this thread is not truthful is because you dont have anything to base your opinion on.

You are just spouting off an opinion based on some "chants?"

Try again this was a fail.

pornguy 01-21-2009 07:28 AM

Every business starts with a little hope and a dream. They then move into real thoughts and construction. So I believe that if he can get enough people behind him, he can make changes that it will take. The thing is, WILL HE BE A TYPICAL POLITICIAN??? Or Will he really try to fix things.

Wizzo 01-21-2009 07:33 AM

If he's half as good as the campaign Him and his people ran, he'll have his face on Mt. Rushmore. The guy seems to know politics pretty damn good. :pimp

Holly 01-21-2009 07:34 AM

He could take a steaming dump on the Lincoln Memorial, blow up a meth lab inside the White House, and fuck Jill Biden doggy style on pay per view, and he'd still come in ahead of the last 8 years.

I don't think he's worried.

He made EXTREME promises and has peoples hopes up so high its fucking unreal, the fact that now he says things will take time etc. does not matter as people only remember what he promised in order to get their vote.

To think myself or anyone else would not want him to succeed is silly, id love for him to turn things around it will be great for everyone.

But with crazy hope and expectations also come massive depression should things not go as the avg person expected.

seeandsee 01-21-2009 07:37 AM

After bush clown i don't think so

czarina 01-21-2009 07:41 AM

I have no doubts he will be a great president. But the question remains: will he be good or bad for porn?

3 out of the last 4 presidents have had 2 terms and it may take Obama 2 terms to try and correct the multitude of mistakes made by the Bush administration. It will not be an easy job but he has a huge majority of people behind him right now and I can not think of anyone else in politics who will inspire more optimism than him in this difficult time. Can you imagine the same innauguration scene with John McCain?!?! I think not...

Rangermoore 01-21-2009 08:05 AM

Obama was elected by mostly UNEDUCATED People. Such as the lady we all saw on tv saying she would have worry about paying for gas or her house note anymore after he was elected. People not taking the time or trouble to look at the man or his past. Just a bunch of people that were caught up in the hollywood hype. I do hope he does well for the country but he is going to have to keep Pelosi, Reid, Franks, Clinton all in check. BTW what do I mean by his past? Just look at some of the people in it...Bill Ayers, Rev Wright, to name only two... But hey I guess by saying something about him makes me a racist....I am proud that we as Americans have our first black president but I just do not feel obama is the right person for the job...Just my two cents.....

Rangermoore 01-21-2009 08:06 AM

not have to worry

Bama 01-21-2009 08:21 AM

It's way too early to start thinking "2nd Term" for Obama.

I know he's been in power for only a few hours but I was expecting a new car in my driveway, a check in my mailbox and a bailout on all of my credit card debt by now in reminiscing of all of those campaign promises....

Seriously though, it's a rare sight indeed when a President actually creates change. Lincoln, Kennedy and Regan come to mind but most of the time "stuff" just happens to happen on their watch that they'll either take the blame for or credit for the glory.

You can sit around blanketed in the warmth and glow of "Obama" all you want, but when the power gets turned off because you've lost your job and can't afford the electricity - your butt will be just as cold as anyone else who didn't drink the kool-aid.

What I hope for.. is that he (and that goes for every person that holds the office) doesn't fuck things up too bad and good things just happen to happen on his watch.

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

And he will kick some serious asses ... America / USA Boy ( and girls Holly ) You sooooo need him .. the TIME IS NOW ....

Rangermoore 01-21-2009 08:30 AM

I woke up and my new car was in the drive and my check was in the mailbox....Oh yea, the mortgage company called and said that I did not need to worry about paying my mortgage anymore....

Yeah right, tell that to Bush Jr. Seems he got more than one chance with his experience. Ill take the guy who has excelled his whole life instead of failures such as Mccain and Bush. Say what you want but he has accomplished more in his life than MOST presidents. School, public service, a perfect presidential campaign, ect. Clinton had very little experience but he had the best economy we have seen. Experience is shit if your shit while living your experiences.
