Abortion Clinic throws out live baby.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,488644,00.html

"Only Renelique didn't arrive in time. According to Williams and the Florida Department of Health, she went into labor and delivered a live baby girl.

What Williams and the Health Department say happened next has shocked people on both sides of the abortion debate: One of the clinic's owners, who has no medical license, cut the infant's umbilical cord. Williams says the woman placed the baby in a plastic biohazard bag and threw it out."

After Shock Media 02-06-2009 04:09 AM

Not gunna bother reading story or talking morals.
If it lived - attempted murder.
If it died - murder.

Pretty simple.

XX_RydeR 02-06-2009 04:21 AM

Damn, that is some fucked up shit..

The Duck 02-06-2009 04:23 AM

PSSuperstars 02-06-2009 04:41 AM

Earlier tonight I was reading a journal entry of a 17 year old who was going to do a late term abortion at 22 weeks... and THAT was keeping me up/awake...

Now this... geezus, I'm not sleeping ever again.

This is tragic.

I don't get that. If you're that far along then you need to wait until the baby is born and adopt it out. 22-23 weeks is 5 months. Bitches know if they are preggers by then. Anything after the 1st trimester shouldn't be allowed. Personally I'd put it at 9 weeks. With all the different kinds of contraception and you can even get morning after bills there's no excuse getting pregnant if you don't want to. Hell if worse comes to worse and you just can get or don't want to use contraception then take it in the ass. And if you think you're not mature enough to take care of a baby maybe you're not mature enough to fuck.

Sarah_Jayne 02-06-2009 05:59 AM

*If* that actually happened it is disgusting.

BlackCrayon 02-06-2009 06:02 AM

im all for pro choice but late term abortions are sick and unless there is a very high risk of the mother dying as a result of giving birth should not be allowed and those who practice such methods should be charged and lose their license.

tranza 02-06-2009 06:18 AM

Shit, this is so sad... I don't support and don't accept this...

Vicious_B 02-06-2009 06:19 AM

Sounds like the doctor shouldn't have had a license to begin with.

evildick 02-06-2009 06:25 AM

Sounds like he had other cases of malpractice previously

nation-x 02-06-2009 06:28 AM

Late Term abortions need to be outlawed... and this is coming from a hardcore liberal. Me.

It is possible for a baby to live at only 22 weeks.

I am on the fence with the abortion issue, but IMO once the baby reaches a viable age then it becomes murder.

This is why I don't buy the "health of the mother" arguments as an excuse for killing a baby late term. If there really is a health concern with the mother, fine, just get the baby out and hope it lives.

TisMe 02-06-2009 07:07 AM

This sort of thing goes on all the time, mothers abandoning / dumping newborn infants.

The sad part to me is that we're only reading about this one because it happened at an abortion clinic so it has publicity value.

Nobody seems to care when women leave babies in dumpsters, etc.

No moral/political campaign publicity to be gotten then there's no outcry and media coverage. Really bugs me when people take advantage of a tragedy to further their own agendas.

If these people, on both sides, really cared about the children then they'd be outraged every time a child is abandoned, not just when it suites them.

HorseShit 02-06-2009 07:12 AM

that is fucked up :(

carol.prime 02-06-2009 10:58 AM

omg! I can't believe that there's someone who can do such thing!

baddog 02-06-2009 11:04 AM

They call that a Mulligan I believe.

I'm pro choice but there's never any excuse for that kind of shit.

PSSuperstars 02-06-2009 12:36 PM

In 3-4 years... I will be trying for adoption... Hopefully I can find one of these girls and go all Juno on them...

Hubby and I are about 3-4 years away from being ready... got some more selfish living to do ;) and a few things to check off the pre-baby list.... but God, if I knew either the chick whose journal I read.. or this woman.. I'd have taken the baby right now.. Heck, I'd have paid for her medical expenses and the adoption papers.. geez.

PornMD 02-06-2009 03:33 PM

What I want to know is why the article seems mainly targeted at the doctor (which yes, clearly did wrong) and glossed over the clinic owner being the one that "took out the trash" :(. The doctor being the one to take someone that late is clearly wrong but what the clinic owner did is 10 times worse...murdering a baby, and WHY? That's just sick and I hope both of them pay dearly in more than just money. They deserve every punishment coming to them and then some.

CyberHustler 02-07-2009 03:24 PM

Maybe the baby didn't breathe until it was in the bag?

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 02-07-2009 03:36 PM

in china they wouldn't have wasted a plastic bag think of the environment people, fuck...

jmcb420 02-07-2009 03:44 PM

I am extreamly pro-choice. What I just read about is outright murder.

This isn't a pro-choice / pro-life issue. The mother, doctor, and the clinic owner should all be charged with murder or complicity to.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION

Fox news isn't reporting "what happened" here, they're reporting what is being alleged in the lawsuit.

Lawsuits are filed with the intention of settling, not with the intention of having to prove in court that what's in your complaint is actually true.

This lawsuit, like many others, was probably filed specifically for the purpose of creating this news story and the public outrage that will follow.

"If" Fox News had any credible reason to believe this were true, it would be the lead story on their newscast and on the front page of their website....not buried in the health section as a story reporting what was alleged in a lawsuit. :2 cents:

I already hate the world. if the writers of this story wanted me to hate it more, they failed.

Good points. It looks like they got the reaction they wanted. They want to sway the public on the issue before it even goes to court.

But goddamn, that is some horrible stuff. If you bring the baby to term, you have no business walking into an abortion clinic, even an unlicensed one.

Let me repeat this quote from the story:

"An autopsy determined Williams' baby ? she named her Shanice ? had filled her lungs with air, meaning she had been born alive, according to the Department of Health."

FACT: The baby was born alive. She was by ANY definition an actual human being with rights at that point.

FACT: 911 was not called.

Actually air in the lungs does not mean the baby was born alive. Air in the lungs can also happen with decomposition. No medical examiner will be able to say if it was born alive for sure.

The doctor lost his license. The state is still investigating to see if there were criminal actions.
