Then again, as an industry, we were the first to figure out how to monetise the web, back in the day when everyone said no one would ever pay for webcontent.

We use Mobile PPC traffic CPM banners on major WAP portals. We have also templated out WAP sites for Webmastes as part of our affiliate program. Then those Webmasters add a Mobile section to their existing Websites. These templates then act as a tour and push that traffic to us kind of like a mobile MGP. Our three mobile sites are kicking ass right now. We just had a company wide meeting (at least for everyone on site...fucking catered, too!) and we all got a look at our mobile sites' sales versus our regular sites. The mobile sites were doing something like double the ratios of even our top-performing conventional sites and were also generating in-house cross-sales with our mega-site. Some of the "veterans" were saying shit about it looking like the late 90s all over again.

The mobile operators still want no part of adult. It's political. This is why you can't bill using premium SMS in the US, and you can't promote adult on the US network portals.

This is why we use only credit card billing on our US adult mobile sites.

I'm tired of people saying "there's no money in it" You just don't have the know how or the resources, its a whole separate biz. It's not just about promoting it's knowing what the hell you are talking about.

Another thing... It's not all about just an iphone or just one site, but building multiple sites with multiple markup languages or multiple apps for a shit load of different handsets.

Because they are pussies. There is a shit load of SMS providers that want adult, you must not know who to talk to....BTW there is always the doit yourself ZONG http://www.zong.com/zong/

We ported out VOD software to support native iPhone sites since customers have been asking for it. At some point we will support other platforms...but for now only iPhone.

That's for sure...Even with the downturn in the economy the last thing people will ever get rid of is there Mobile Device...
