I Just Got New Taylormade R9 Driver, and.....
It's Fucking Excellent!
I've only had a few hits with it in the yard (and lost a few balls doing so) but, I love it. And it's fucking started raining! :(:disgust:( Can't wait to get on the course and go try it out. Has anyone else got or used one yet? or the new Nike dymo str8 fit? |
the first thing you need to do is put a diamana red or pro launch blue shaft on that bitch.. :2 cents:
|
Nice!
I picked up some Nike Ignites last year. Love em. |

Going to try it out properly on the course tomorrow hopefully (if the weather is better!) |

I keep seeing ads on the golf channel for michigan, looks like you've got some nice courses there. might have to pay a visit in the summer. |
It looks like an amazing club, I had an R7 for a couple of years and could never quite hit it right. But i think that had more to do with the player than with the club ;-)
|
very nice!

my eardrum gets fucking RAPED by these new drivers
they will start requiring earplugs soon |

I love my old driver I got from pops...
When I golf my buddies all want to use it because it screams, I am older than you will ever be... And it kicks ass. |

The first taylormade I got was the rescue dual. because I had a lot of trouble hooking it right. and I just switched the weights round to correct it. I got the medicus driver about 4 weeks ago aswell and that has helped a lot. |

Thats probably because they are getting lighter all the time. |
I play with an R7 and love it. The technology in clubs these days is sick...

I'll have to have a look into that. I'm only about an hour or 2 from P.E.I. aswell so i'm planning on doing some golfing over there in the summer. The Rodd Mill River that is on this series of Big Break looks really good. and I ain't played any golf over there yet so that will be good. |

I remember the first set of golf clubs I ever played with, and the woods were acually made from wood. the heads on the drivers were tiny compared to what they are now aswell! :1orglaugh |

Golftown is calling me!

Four baby!

I got my R9 for about $450US only a bit more expensive and well worth the money I reckon. The Diablo is a nice driver :thumbsup Quote:
I've now got 4 drivers in my Garage now I think. I've got a 5 year old bertha 454 which I love and still use. an FT-5 which I don't like very much because no matter where I hit it, the thing hooks or spins of in a different direction nearly everytime :disgust The R9, and the first driver I bought myself which is some old Ben Sayers thing I got in a set from a shop like walmart :1orglaugh |

So far this year i've managed to play here: http://www.monctongolfclub.nb.ca/# And My Local course twice. And once the weather get's better again I want to go to these 2 (ain't been there yet): http://www.foxcreekgolfclub.ca/home.cfm http://royaloaks.ca/ They are a bit more expensive but both courses look really nice. Mind you i've only been here a year so far so there's plenty of time :) |

I tried the r9 tp version at the club a few weeks ago and it is a great driver which goes long and straight without even trying to crush the ball. The 3 wood is also an excellent choice.
The driver I settled on finally was a custom one, which is an smt 455 deep bore head with an accuflex assasin 2 shaft, specifically designed for my height, build and swing speed. Its a great club and has stood me in good stead for a few years now. |

The only thing with the r9 I found wierd, was to put it into the more lofted position makes the grip totally the wrong way round but i'll probably get used to it if I want to start using it that way. |
I thought you where talking about audi's lol.
Never mind, dont mind me here :) |

i got one of the taylor made drivers last year.
best driver ever for me..last weekend 18th hole a 440 yards par 4, on the green in two hitting my approach shot with an 8 iron..which i usually hit around 150 yards. |
Golf is for people who like to play with little white balls
|
very nice there

A game for people who like to play with big green hairy balls? |

I love my R7 draw. I have never hit a driver as well as I can hit this one. And Devin seems to be able to crush the ball with my R7. |

Which one you got? |

I like my old bertha but this is far better! And as for the FT-5, well thats just terrible. |
are the new driver technology that big of a difference id say my clubs are about 5 years old, i shoot around bogey golf consistantly not to shabby since i didnt golf last year.
im just wondering if i should update my equipment some extra yardage in a game can go along way. |
Drivers have developed a lot in the past 5 years, I think that good 5 year old irons work fine (although of course there's advances there too). Also hybrids kick ass.

I still need to get new irons, mine are about 4 or 5 years old now. |
I have had an R7 for a few years and I love it.
