Someone STOLE my Brietling Watch and Droid Phone FROM MY ROOM at the Palms

Just so you know and learn from my experience.... those little safes in the room, well use those damn things. I had my shit in the safe, but neglected to lock it, and well, it taught me a 35,000.00 lesson. Just thought I would share with you.

Waddymelon 01-17-2010 01:00 AM

Thats an expensive fucking phone.

sandman! 01-17-2010 01:02 AM

that sucks :(

borked 01-17-2010 01:15 AM

Stole while you were sleeping or while you were out?

For me, I never leave anywhere without my watch and phone...

Sucks big time.

tiger 01-17-2010 01:27 AM

Wow that fucking blows!

HerPimp 01-17-2010 01:35 AM

Hookers, call their pimp and work something out.
Housekeeping, contact the supervisor, tip and let them know about a reward and you will not contact police.

Last resort contact security, let them know how much money we all blow in Vegas. They should have a recording of the people who went in and out of your room.

The watch wasn't insured?

FlowerKid 01-17-2010 04:18 AM

The safest place to store expensive things is the (own) ass.

Something doesn't sound right with this thread ...

Rangermoore 01-17-2010 05:31 AM

I have stayed at many hotels in Vegas, Palms, Caesars, Wynn, and never had anything stolen from my room...Just saying...:2 cents:

pocketkangaroo 01-17-2010 05:42 AM

Did you have the watch insured?

That defeats the purpose of a safe.

Sorry to hear about your loss, that's a big one. Hope it was insured.

The Palms should have security footage of your hallway and they should be able to pin point who was in your room, unless you had a full on party there.

Fat Panda 01-17-2010 08:28 AM

something is fishy

Sosa 01-17-2010 08:32 AM

That sucks, but yeah def gotta lock the safe up.

Scootermuze 01-17-2010 08:53 AM

As many times as this stuff has happened through the years at these events, I don't see why people don't invest in a little self-contained, motion activated cameras to hide in their rooms.
Maybe it's not something that people think they'd need, or even cross their mind, but with all the stories... a little paranoia could be a good thing..

Agent 488 01-17-2010 08:58 AM

35 grand yeah sure.

Agent 488 01-17-2010 08:58 AM

all the security in the world can't product imaginary watches.

SplitInfinity 01-17-2010 01:41 PM

Um nothing "fishy" or even remotely smelly about this thread other than me warning everyone of my mistake and for them to not duplicate it. You GFY'ers are sometimes thread-locked in the brain. LOL

Yes, the watch is insured. Your "pity" should be directed to Haiti, not me, lol.

Others who were with me know this is no BS. :-)

You take your antique furnitures to webmaster shows? :winkwink:

xNetworx 01-17-2010 03:13 PM

That watch must have been laced up with diamonds and/or solid platinum/gold if it was 35k. Fuck man. That sucks.

tony286 01-17-2010 03:15 PM

that sucks. How was the droid as a phone? Was thinking of getting one.

MaDalton 01-17-2010 03:18 PM

i didn't know a Breitling can be that expensive - unless you have it covered in diamonds - which would be totally inappropriate for a pilots watch...

I'd say less than 1% of people who own these watches are pilots :2 cents:

xp-ViT 01-17-2010 03:55 PM

Did you go to polce? Any luck?

kristin 01-17-2010 06:35 PM

I have my theory on why this thread was started ...
