Flippa.com worth using?
Anyone do any business on flippa.com at all? I'm curious as to whether all those autoblogging sites are worth what they sell for on there. If you use this, purchase from here or sell please provide some feedback.

I remember reading an article on Techcrunch or somewhere and at the time this site looked good.
Now it looks like people are selling garbage websites for $xxx figures, going back and doing it again, taking that fly-by-night traffic with them. A good gig if you don't mind ripping people off...

"worth" using?
Sure ... sometimes. Its not like every listing will be gold. Everyone wants to pawn some bullshit, whether its ebay or flippa. I do wish there was a site with more gold though. Fuck all those crappy websites for sale. I usually sort by how much the site is making PROFIT. $250 minimum/month

it used to be good
you will be hard pressed to find a good deal now the site is so full of people just scrape boxing to get backlinks to spam blogs and then trying to sell it fast worthless imo

I've sold 9 sites on Flippa in the last year-and-a-half or so. 7 in the $x,xxx range and 2 in the $xx,xxx range. I've bought a few sites in the $x,xxx range too. 4 or 5 if memory serves correctly.
Overall, the process has been pretty painless. As painless as can be expected, I guess. There are plenty of idiots there, that's for sure. And a lot will waste your time so that's something to watch out for. Make sure you talk to the buyer/seller on the phone BEFORE the deal is done on the site if possible. This is my #1 rule. I'd rather lose a sale or pass over a site if I haven't spoken to the buyer/seller on the phone. Scammers don't like to talk on the phone most of the time. Of course, there are exceptions but it does a pretty good at weeding out the majority. Also, one thing that I've found that makes sure the buyer/seller and I are on the same page is I print the auction, sign it, overnight it to the buyer/seller so they can sign it, copy it, and mail me back the original. This won't protect you legally in the slightest bit, I imagine BUT it's just another thing scammers will NOT want to do. Real people that want to do real business will typically be relieved to hear that's the way you want to do business. Now you both have each other's addresses, each other's phone numbers, and each other's John Hancocks. It's quite a bit more personal than just clicking "Buy" on a web page and makes it more "real" than most online transactions.

Flippa is full to the brim with overpriced garbage. For a seller of low-grade build and flip sites, it is ok. For a buyer of lower value sites, not so much. Loads and loads of people buying halfassed keyword domains as they drop, slapping quick wordpress installs on them and trying to sell for $300. You can blame that on all the "flip expired domain" ebooks. If you've got a budget and are looking at higher grade stuff though, it seems to be one of the better market places. It's like any market really, you've got to be pretty damn picky, but there are good deals to be made if you're looking.
