Another thing to consider when talking ratios..
Let's say I am doing 1:1000 with a sponsor sending traffic from banners in galleries. Then let's say I want to put their tour in a popup to get some more sales, my ratio suddenly hits numbers like 1:4000. But I am making more money and more sales with the same amount of traffic than I was at 1:1000.
Or let's say you are linking a sponsor with a text link "Join Hot Teens For $29.95/mo" vs "Click Here For Hot Teens". Obviously the first one is going to get less clicks and a better ratio. So I guess it really is pointless to tell someone what your ratio is with a sponsor because your promo methods differ greatly and that could be causing your ratios to look better than theirs, not just the sponsors site. Thankfully most of the sponsors I promote use NATS so I can stick certain ratio hurting promo methods (like putting a tour in a popup) in a campaign and remove those stats from the picture and get a better idea of what my real ratio is. |

That's why tracking your CTR is important.

Hey Jakez, do you have a script like your babeblog that will allow video embeds? Something in the works? Your shit is great, just need some tweaks. I can go another route, would just rather pay you than some nobody.

That's why I use campaigns very heavily. Allows me to break everything down and see where I could be doing better.

Yeah campaigns are a must, sure ccbill pays on time but it doesn't really matter if I can't analyze my campaigns/referrers/etc to adjust promos.
Shit, there was a mod for that but it was lost in a bad hosting situation. Shoot me an email and I'll remake it again. |
