What are the options to ccbill for starting a paysite

If you dont have or dont want to try and pay the $750 visa fee?

**edit: This is for a friend with a active niche website, should they stay at ccbill or go somewhere else?**

Just to point out, the $750 is a VISA fee, not a CCBILL fee.
I am sure there might be alternatives to this, but since you are asking, I figured you should be aware that it's not CCBILL having that fee...although they do collect it.

Don't mess around. Go with a biller you trust and has a good name, and pay the Visa registration fee. You don't want your business to suddenly go on hold because you tried to save a few bucks pulling something sneaky. Start your business the right way.

If he's got a site and can't afford 750 to accept visa he's doing it wrong.

Yeah, the Visa High-Risk Merchant Registration Fee is an annual Visa Fee, and not a CCBill (or Epoch or SegPay) fee ? and like fitzmulti said, it is based on the Visa region in which the processor AND the merchant are located.

Plus it is an annual registration fee.

If you are a US or Canadian merchant ? and have high-risk content ? the fee is paid one way or another. We collect it on behalf of you as the merchant and pay Visa in advance prior to the Visa review process.

Unfortunately, it?s one of those costs of doing business, but it does only apply to being able to accept Visa for high-risk content ? and not to all the other payment types. But Visa is a big chunk of the market, obviously.

We do offer the ability to automatically deduct payments for the annual RENEWAL fee, but since CCBill has to provide that fee to Visa upfront before you can process ? we don?t breakdown the upfront fee.

ANYHOW - drop me a line and we can see what options we might have to transition them into Visa without breaking the budget.

I got rejected by visa when i first launched my first website a few years back which really inconvenienced me because I had to edit some stellar content on my tour pages on the visitor end because they said the content was too graphic. So not only are they expensive, but they are anal about what they will let slide and what they will pull the plug on.

If you intend to use affiliates then CCBill is the route if budget is low to start. If you want to just get the site accepting payment to start can't hurt to start with Zombaio and not pay the Visa Fee.

Zombaio processes the cards well. But if you use them initially then put them back in the cascade your rates will likely go up.

How is that a good thing if they are missing payouts and there are tons of threads on here with complaints about them? Sincere question.

Somebody else can chime in if they haven't been paid. I know they had a couple issues... thought it was resolved.
