The Internet is just one of many different forms of product delivery methods available. It has some advantages compared to old methods and it has some disadvantages. But just because we have a new way to bring our products to market does not mean that time tested business practices and principals are obsolete. In fact they are more relevant than ever before.

I have more than 4 decades of experience in this field and in business. One thing that holds true even today is that character assasination is the tool of those that are engaged in screwing over others for their profits and it is also the tool of last resort of those that are desperate, usually a failing business.

Whereas a business person that does pays their employees a fair wage, creates a product of quality to the best of their ability and adhears to their promises does not need anyone to promote them. Because over time loyalty and trust always build.

So yes there is a corporate agenda behind the « save the Internet » gang. Because anyone truely intersted in freedom would just pull the plug. Real revolutionnaires meet in person and not on IRC and they certainly do not hide behind Guy Fawkes masks manufactured by Time Warner.

And believe me when I say that illegally downloading any of my films is not going to create a new more juste society. All it does it lower how much I pay my employees.

Just because you don't know them doesn't mean they haven't been around for a while.

While one or two are relatively new some sites manage to fly beneath the radar fairly well, they are just as much of a problem as the bigger sites.

The piracy eco-system is huge, much larger than any one person can wrap their head around.

I'd also highly recommend using jDownloader to enhance your anti-piracy efforts. It can check whether the links are active or were removed for most of the tubes and file lockers, which helps alot if you have to send lots of DMCAs.
