If you want Intel get the 520 model and buy it from centrecom, pie are usually more expensive.

A lot of people like the Corsair SSD's. I have no idea why, check Whirlpool forums for stories.

centrecom looks like a good site same price as ple with shipping
I have been looking at the 330 and 520 but do not really understand the difference i can see the 2 more year warranty and faster read/write but would i notice the difference for the extra money i don't no, ill do some more reading.

edit: wish i had not read FW looks like nothing but bad about intel

People in the PC building community rate Samsungs much higher than the Intels.

Intel makes most reliable SSDs of all.

I have a 520 one. It's good.

We use SSD drives in our RAID 10 Arrays. Overall they are great as long as you have a backup. RAM has a limited number of reads and writes before it doesn't work any more.

The only real reason to use SSD is for speed!

Since we have ALOT of reads and rights happening on our servers for hosting customers, SSD are a good option. But for your home computer or laptop, not so much. SSD get really unhappy if they are moved around a lot. Apple had major issues with the SSD drives they put into the MacBook Pros here recently.

man, you really should just shut up some times. You are starting to sound like a real idiot.

SSD's have virtually unlimited reads before cells die.. its the writes that gets killed off in the nvram in them.

SSD's in laptops are great. The only issue Apple has had with ssd drives is aftermarket drives into older laptops. By design SSD has so many more advantages over a spinning spindle with a head device that can cause physical damage to a spindle if dropped.

the MTBF is so ridiculously high that.... something like 1.2M hours of writing 20GB of data every day or 2.5M hours for 10GB/day of written data before failure. yes a lot die prematurely but thats why its a "mean time before failure".. that is of course.. we all now what mean is.
