Yeah, I've been to LA a lot over the past year and it pretty much has the worst traffic I have seen in the States.

The cabs I have taken in Chicago have been some of the scarier cab rides of my life. NYC, I just assume is going to be hell and get on public transport. LA just appears not to move at all at times. The city has many other things that outweigh the traffic issues.

Oh, I know it is nice. I picked this area of California because I really like it. Since I moved back to the States, I have done chunks of time in the Oakland area, Sacramento, Stockton and now LA. I traveled back and forth to LA all during that time though and I kept being drawn back to it and not just because of a relationship which is here. I really liked the Bay too but the vibe of LA suits me.

Actually, we were in a good area of Stockton and the realities of the city could be forgotten UNLESS you went downtown and then it was crumbling buildings and stuff that showed the bankruptcy of the town.

I am pretty sure the Amtrak station in Stockton is limbo. One of the time I was there a woman just kept randomly coming in and yelling for a child that didn't exist. Then a guy just came in, left a broken child's scooter in the middle of the station and left. I thought maybe it was for the invisible child? Then just as I was about to get on the train, I saw a guy pry a metal bar off the station fence and slide it up his sleeve. I was pretty happy to get on that train when it finally arrived.
