Why isn't this site converting?

I took this site online about a month ago, and it has been getting between 50 - 200 uniques per day. 53% of them make it to the "Join" page, but I haven't had a single sign-up. What gives?

Could you please take a look at the site and offer any feedback? Especially about the "Join" page? What could I do to make it better (aside from the load times which I'm already working on improving)?

My first thoughts are that:

* There aren't enough pictures. People like pictures.
* The visitor must do quite a bit of reading. Would recommend more "funky" design bits to make text more appealing.
* The cost/price seems high, just in comparison to others sites.

I am sure others will be able to give you some more insight and thoughts.

Nobody is gonna join because of some text (which nobody will read anyway).
I had no clue what to do when i clicked your link. Other than closing it again.

Its because

- when I first enter that site I have no idea what the site is about.
Gentlemens Club? Solo Site? no idea really.
- Make the tour more simple.
- Put up some samples
- Check your wording properly. Gentlemens club? Why?

On your join page:

"When you join the Ariana Club, you are rewarding yourself with pampering luxury and numerous benefits, all complimented by a nearly limitless array of adult entertainment options. Our members are some of the most discerning individuals on the Internet, and you're about to take your place among their ranks"

Like what the hell are you trying to tell future members?

Overall I would say its kind of a mess. Keep in mind to keep it stupid simple (KISS). A surfer doesnt want to read all those texts, entice them with some sexy images and cut down on the texts.

The purpose of the site isn't clearly stated. I don't want to read a novel to figure out what your site is all about. There is almost nothing to click on on the first page. Just some nav links to unclear destinations, then a "join" link. So off the bat, you want me to join something unclear with no samples or examples. The price is also high. What makes your site stand out to warrant the higher than typical price? Whatever that is should be the focal point of the entire site. Why would someone join this site over Bang Bros, or Brazzers, or Fling or AFF... You have to set yourself apart and be very clear what makes you different.

The very first thing I read is that I'm too important to waste my time in the video store. Do you know that your site is a "video store" in some sense? So you're telling me to go away in a way. Also, video stores are nearly non-existent, so that verbiage is a bit out dated.

All of that text is great, but it's killing the site in it's current layout. The benefits / perks of the site further confuse as they start talking about discounts for cigars and other random stuff. Is this a porn site or a discount club? If it's both, that is kind of a strange combination.

Your target audience becomes infinitely small once you start focusing the purpose of the site to people that want the undisclosed 10,000 videos you have and cigar discounts.

You really need to refine what it is that you are selling and keep it simple. You should hire someone to consult with your brand, image, identity and iron out a clear goal and experience that keeps the path to cash in mind. Right now, I have no idea what I would be purchasing if I was crazy enough to pull out my card for this site.

Anyhow, that's my initial thoughts. Hopefully some or all of it is helpful.

Define and find your customers BEFORE you build a product.

Thank you all very, very much. What I'm hearing so far is:
- More pics
- Less text
- More focus on benefits for the subscriber
- More focus on the purpose of the site


I did a lot of market research, identified my audience and tailored my site to them. I guess I went a little overboard with the text, though, and lost focus on good, simple site design principles.

Looks like a major overhaul to the site is in my future... time to get started.

It actually IS both... I'm trying to create a market for people who want to watch videos/pics/etcetera while also providing a number of additional services and discounts on premium products--just like you would find in a traditional upscale strip club.

It's kind of an experimental concept, and I think the concept has a lot of potential, but it sounds like I could do a better job on the delivery.

If you already identified your audience and know where they are, the market is already there. You don't need to create one. If you need to create it, be prepared to spend a lot of cash to get it off the ground.

Exactly ….. Saw one very average photo of a clothed woman, an offer for cigars and a join link. A join link for what? So I hit it and still don't know what you are selling. A site with content that blows away MetArt or a site that is full of Markham content?

I don't care if you are selling tires or garden hose you still need visuals for a viewer to take notice.

everyone here has given you good advice, which is nice, GFY doesn't usually work that way, but I'll add a few smaller points, because a site like this does have a chance, provided you are already covering the other areas.

a large portion of our customers are impulse buyers, they just saw a Shakira video on TV and it gave them a boner, or they were at the bar and some hot chicks boob fell out and they can't get it off their mind, they want a fix and they want it now. When I surf peoples sites, i try to put myself in that mentality because it is a huge group of consumers, and when I got to your site my dick got soft, cause text just isn't sexy.

Now, there is another group of consumers that would be willing to read your text, and I believe that Roald actually knows about them as much as anyone, and millions of them frequent his site, they are the more educated and more experienced fanatics. They will read text, they would likely prefer to see a little more picture and video content, but they will read the text to see what they are going to get and what your site is about, the issue here is that to convert those guys, your site functionality has to be perfect.

I just took a quick look, but I saw several issues that an experienced surfer, who doesn't have a boner yet, would also see, as they have joined sites before, often many.

1) you have a massive Adult Centro logo at the bottom of your pages. I like adult centro, I use them, Stans's always been good to me, but a ton of people use them, and i mean a ton, so many experienced surfers have had a membership to adult centro feed, or stand alone site, and won't join yours when it costs more. (I offer those same 10,000 dvd's for a quarter the price).

2) You mention a whole bunch of stuff about exclusives, "exclusive dvd's shot just for this site", "Exclusive content not released to the general public" in that list of items, (even if you are being totally honest) I only believe #1 and #2, and I am pretty sure a surfer would believe the same (powered by adult centro, but somehow exclusive to you and you alone?)

3) The more experienced surfers will actually want to see your terms of service, you don't have any, you have the words terms of service, but they are not linked.

4) They will actually check out the bonus sites you say they will get access to, but TeenChub.com, which is listed as a bonus site, and linked to, is parked with GoDaddy.

5) More experienced surfers know that PayPal is anti adult, but you are offering paypal memberships, so they know you are processing illegally and likely scamming them.

6) your asking for $25 for a one day pass, and $30 for a monthly recurring, this is like printing the following statement on your site "if you get a one day pass, you never coming back, I have no confidence that you will like my product, so I have to get at least $25 before I will let you see what I have, but if you agree to let me charge your credit card repeatedly, I will only charge you 4% as much, as that is what it is worth".

7) you have an intermediary join page in between your primary join page and your credit card processes, this page looks more scammy than any of the others, I would never proceed past that, on the previous page, I chose my join option, now on this one you listed all 10 options again, in a confusing order with prices anywhere from $25 to $1000.

8) experienced Surfers know that no legit adult processor will allow you to charge $1000 for anything unless it is cam credits and you have been verified will.

That text box up top looks like a banner. If you want people to read it, just write out the text. and there's an awful lot of dead space around it.

1) try for lighter colors right now the site looks dark and hard on the eyes

2) less text more images

3) make the tour simple make the join page even more simple, most people have a short attention span you need to wow them quick and make it easy for them to buy fast

I think They allow paypal payment on streaming now. Look at AEBN for an example. Might just be DVDs and hard goods. I know you can't buy downloads with paypal though.

If you are offering discounts on things like cigars, why make people pay a membership for that? You may think of it as a "virtual" strip club but at the end of the day, it is a website, not a physical property that people must enter to see what you have. Think of your home page more as a "lobby" - in a sense, people landing there have already "walked through the front door" into your club.

More pictures will help, but how else are you really defining the differences? Your list of features really seems just like many other site's offerings.
