I use Chrome, it sucks too

They all seem to work really good until you've used them a few months.

I still love Firefox and use it on all my computers even my Android smartphone, all of which are synced together in terms of add-ons, bookmarks, history and other attributes. I have a plethora of useful plugins that I couldn't live without and even a custom script or two plugged into it from snippets of code that I found online. It has always worked quickly for me. I don't love the Android implementation all that much so I use the default Android browser mostly, but it's there if I need it. Chrome is pretty good too and has many similar plugins, but it would take a major issue for me to switch from FF at this point.

Built a super computer this year and FF still works like shit.

VERY disappointing. I am also pissed that there are still sites that only work with IE. What is that shit?

For me it's the other way around. Flash crashes my chrome constantly to the point where I finally went into chrome's plug-ins and disabled flash altogether.

I still use chrome to browse GFY though.

So far my side by side comparison, chrome is faster on a dual core proc (old i know).
but chrome runs way smoother.

I think it has something to do with flash support. Firefox has been pretty buggy lately, but yet it's still my preferred browser, go figure.

If you want FF to run like a well-oiled machine .... disable ALL of your extensions, and start adding them one at a time - using it for 30 minutes with the addition of each new extention - until it starts running like shit again, and you will then know where the problem is ....

I see this all the time in my day job, and it is 100% of the time a rogue Firefox extension that is to blame ...

You're absolutely correct, as that is the best way to troubleshoot. But I have a dozen FF extensions all working fine with each other. Maybe I just don't have any that conflict.

Hello fellow hackers,

I hope you guys had a blast at Defcon partying it up and hacking all the things, because ready or not, here's more work for you. During the second day of the conference, I noticed a reddit post regarding some Mozilla Firefox 0day possibly being used by the FBI in order to identify some users using Tor for crackdown on child pornography. The security community was amazing: within hours, we found more information such as brief analysis about the payload, simplified PoC, bug report on Mozilla, etc. The same day, I flew back to the Metasploit hideout (with Juan already there), and we started playing catch-up on the vulnerability.
