Once I was able to ID him for the police we find out that he already has a warrant out for his arrest because he beat up his girlfriend.

The police had me put credit guard on my account with the different credit agencies. This is when you give them a phone number and they report back to anyone who is doing a credit check that they must contact that number to verify the identity of anyone apply for credit with this name/account.

So the good news was he was in jail. The bad news was that since he didn't plead guilty to all the charges there were some accounts that he opened that continued to try to collect money from me and were a bit of a pain in the ass to deal with. Eventually, with the help of a lawyer, I was able to get it all fixed, but it was still a big mess and cost me some money.

Believe it or not its true: I once had a houseguest that flipped out on me at my office and screamed at me, went home in a huff to my house, and communicated to me through an intermediary that she did not want to see me and that she needed time and space i.e. she banned me from my own house!
