I'm pretty much 90% DSLR or BlackMagic so always using an external monitor.
Haven't had a chance to try on of these out but might be a good solution.

Which BlackMagic cam do you have? I've been toying with the idea of getting the small pocket one.

I have the Pocket DWB and love it. The new firmware update gave it RAW capabilities.

My buddy's 2.5k model is still being repaired. It's been gone longer than he actually had it in his possession.

Have the pocket cam. The footage is really nice and it is super easy to use.

My complaints... It is almost too small. I find myself rigging it up for more stable shots. Also monitor isn't all that great.
