PageRank Weirdness
For some reason one of my sites has achieved a pagerank of 5. Now, that in itself isn't weird ofcourse (have quite a few with better PR), only thing about it is that there are no sites whatsoever linking to it, no sites listing it, I never submitted it to any search engine, it's not optimized for saerch engines (not at all even), and there is next to nothing on it. It's not a fluke either, it's been this way for quite some time.

i have a pagerank fluke of my own.
i have a site that for the past 5 days the pagerank is constantly changing from 2 all the way to 9....and when i say constantly i mean it....i can see them change right in front of me.....one minute a 6 then another minute 4....then 2.....then 8. i dont understand it....have checked google dance and dont see any changing. even stranger is the fact that i have a completely seperate domain that is changing pagerank along with this domain.....yet the other domains linked on these pages dont change rank at all....its very confusing to me. |

Maybe they're changing PageRanks so other sites get exposure??

PR has been fucked up lately.
Maybe they should just remove the public toolbar of pagerank to prevent old domains being reregistered for PR boosts. What exactly is the purpose of making PR public? It's a spam tool. |

I don't know. I have a new mainstream site that should be pr6 that is vacillating between pr6 pr10 in the toolbar, and is getting near zero se hits.
I assume something is getting tweaked around between dmoz and the google directory, but maybe I'm just really special.
