More stolen passwords and content!

So I found one of my members was sharing his user/pass on a password sharing site
http://www.686dy.com
and I found more shared passwords on
http://passwordbay.org/forumdisplay.php?f=10

PasswordBay.org is hosted by http://www.leaseweb.com/en

I have sent them a DMCA/takedown notice but have not heard back yet.

Then there is tons of stolen content - full photo sets and videos at
http://xxx-sharing.net/

It is a constant battle with these guys at xxx-sharing.net. They use several File Hosting companies and when you shut one down another pops up in its place but I see a bunch of content there.

Go check them out. I will be spending a good chunk of my day dealing with these assholes!

It's probably not your MEMBER per se.

Most likely somebody brute forced that shit after accessing another site's passfile.

Stop using basic authentication (that is, if you do). It's too easy to crack.

While that may be true and I will get to improving that.
I am just giving a heads up to everyone because on those sites I came across several other paysites that have their passwords and/or content posted free for the taking.

you need StrongBox or something like that, it's checks IP addresses and stops people from sharing the passwords, also stops brute force attacks

If you complain about thieves, you should stop adding to the problem by giving them backlinks.

Ok ok I'm sure that's true.
Sorry, this girl was just trying to give a heads up in case someone cared about their content being stolen. Maybe there was a better way to call it out. I wasn't trying to be a big baby about it or anything. But no problem.
