I have been using WordPress and Concrete5 for a while and they serve their purpose well, but I just need something else. Having a lot of WordPress sites just takes a lot of resources even optimized with cache plugins etc. That tube search script looks promising.

If you just embed videos from other sites, then Wordpress and custom theme.

xHamster is custom coded.

You cant go wrong with Mech Bunny. It provides a great solution for the mobile version of the site.
