My S2 went swimming, it died. I tried the rice thing, its been almost a month now and still won't turn on...i have searched google but it seems unless it can turn on, you're screwed. i was just wondering if anyone has any methods of getting pics off a phone that won't turn on.

if its on the internal memory... dont think so

the micro sd you can try in a reader

next time use dropbox or similar to sync pics

edit: unless you don't want your nudes leaked...

it's shit when happens, that is why you need sd card or sync with cloud

yeah i was stupid. didn't plan ahead. i always meant to at least put in an sd card and back up to that but never did. i have autobackup set up on my new phone but it sucks i lost so many pics.

they recovered data from HDs that burnt or lay in sea water for weeks but i doubt you want to spend a few grand for your pics

The wife's S2 went through the washing machine couple of weeks ago. 3 days later worked like new.

lucky. was it on at the time? i think this is what screwed me, that the phone was on when it got wet. i didn't spend much time in the water 10-15 minutes but when i got out i realized it was my swim trunks pocket and when i looked at it, the phone was off.
