Discuss what's fucking going on, and which programs are best and worst. One-time "program" announcements from "established" webmasters are allowed.

Coding?

My coding skills are pretty much nonexistent. Been thinking about doing some online courses. Has anybody used codecademy Learn to code | Codecademy ?

Where would be a good place to start, css? Anybody done any courses like this or know of a different program?

Yes they are good, I also enjoyed teamtreehouse, Lynda video tutorials and nettuts from the envato crew. They are mostly membership sites. I learned php about 7 years ago by using random books and tutorials, you can't really go wrong these days, just start actually typing out code as quick as possible. You can read for days but you need to practice by typing to learn. Good luck...

Oh, maybe check YouTube for beginner video series for free, people are putting up some great free videos these days.

Thanks guys, signed up with codecademy. Will see how it goes. I'd be quite interested to code apps. Will take a look at the link Ferus. Thanks.

CSS is easy, just use the magnifying glass in Google Webmaster Tools ;) "PHP for dummies" is a good book.
