1.) great idea. Everyone is always asking for feedback and as you can tell by the response here people value your input.

2.) WP

3.) It would be cool to have a crowdfunding option or the option if Shap likes your idea there would be investment opportunity. This would be a win/win and get a lot more eyeballs on the site.

Also, would be good for others to give feedback on sites or projects. or just a thumbs up or down.

4.) Ill keep you posted.

Perhaps you can do something similar with say:
- Choose home pages of a few sites and give your pros and cons on them

This will obviously be very generic to the point where anyone with a site can apply your best practices feedback and come away with something worthwhile.

For those saying the don't or won't give their ideas away; fair enough. I think the point here should be getting already realized ideas critiqued so that you can squeeze more out of it. Or taking existing concepts and re-conceptualizing them so they become fresh and current.

I think I'm THE Spurs fan... at least on here, anyway

and yeah like you said, just making the submit part private will kill pretty much all those pitfalls I first mentioned

How honest your answers are and how deep you get into them, vs a general answer.

2. I have the domain AskShap.com. What platform do you think would be best for this type of site. Tumblr? Wordpress? Something else? Let me know.

3. What would make this site valuable and useful for you? What can I provide that would make you want to check it out?
-- many people know the answers to what they should do, but implantation, tools, services, etc and how to apply them in an easy to understand & simple could help.

4. I need sites, businesses, designs to review, critique and comment on. If you want my feedback please post in them in this Thread. My goal is to give feedback that you haven't heard before, is actionable and will help make you more money
-- You may get more mileage if people send this to you privately and you outlined the problems/solutions etc. in a way that can be applied to all...

Rather than look at say 1 site, maybe explain how and why people should be building for mobile first... And other site design issue people have and solutions for those problems.

Telling people 15 things you would change to freeones, maybe great for freeones but will someone be able to apply any of that to their own websites. If not then the information may have limited value to the majority.

P.s. do not use wordpress... the communication ability will come to a screaching halt.

Try the latest vbulletin. The new features are pretty cool and the @ feature works really well to notify someone they have been mentioned.

To start I'll probably use wp for simplicity and speed of launching. I'll probably get a simple install and design to launch and if anyone wants to pitch in design or mods I'd be more than happy to add them in.

No monetary gain for me but a few other potential gains

what are the most important items to have/implement if wanting to increase member values?
this question is asked from the perspective of a mid size pay site that has most items in line i.e. good unique video content, stable hosting and downloads , quality tours , decent ratios, tube channels etc..all the basic things for a stable pay site in 2015.

but with all that still can't seem to get to a point where media buys or higher pps works out.

we have been doing ok but want to scale and the next ways i see are with media buys and higher pps. of course we don't want to go the route of card banging or other aggressive billing.

and do you have any other suggestions for a mid size pay site to grow its brand these days.
