:stop Watch What Happens When Someone Pulls Over a Cop for Speeding Boldride

Nobody exactly loves the police (don?t tell my best friend who is one). Obviously, everybody needs them and the services they provide, but more often than not, the thought of a police officer is associated with anger or unhappiness because of certain citations. That?s what makes this video, dug up by CarScoops so satisfying.

Instead of the civilian in the video getting pulled over, the random driver is the one who is able to get a cop car to pull to the side of the road. Why? Because the cop and his wife, who was driving in a different car in front of the police car, were both speeding, going about 15 mph faster than the 40-mph limit.

I work with cops. I have friends and several family members that are cops. I know many good cops...and some really shitty ones.

I wouldn't recommend doing it - but I applaud this guy for doing what he did. Call him stupid (only because he may have painted a target on his own back in future)...but it took a LOT of balls to hold the cop (and his wife) accountable for violating the speed limit without just cause.

I wouldn't have confront the officer, but I would have recorded him driving over the limit and sent that video to the police chief. Not his supervisor, but the chief of the Minneapolis police. I found that complaining to his superior won't do any good because his supervisor is the buffer between the officer and the department heads, going at least one step higher makes sure the supervisor doesn't smooth things out. But too many officers believe they become be the law when they get a badge. At 15 over the speed limit any one of us can expect to be pulled over. Instead of apologizing and telling the citizen he will watch his speed, like we all do when we get pulled over, and going on is way the officer cops an attitude because he feels his time is being wasted. That is the shame.

Would have been pretty funny if the cop gave him a citation for speeding or tailgating.

I remember back in 1968/69 my grandmother was following a cop on the freeway that was speeding. He ended up pulling her over but when she explained that she was just going with the flow of traffic as determined by his speed, with no lights on; he let her off with a warning.

Seeing videos like this brings a smile to my face. The guy recording had balls of steel. I could have sworn the cop when he was in his cruiser was thinking, 'should I shoot him or should I not...I wonder if I have some cocaine to sprinkle on him after I shoot him' (Dave Chappelle). It doesn't take that long to grab your badge.

The cop lost all credibility or any credible excuse about speeding on the job when he admitted his wife was speeding also.
