Can we backout of a pending Escrow payment in Sedo?

We had a domain there at a fixed price, totally forgot about it and now it was sold for far too little and we actually don't even want it. Tey take 30% too, plus 21% tax leaves us with peanuts.

Buyer paid escrow, but i do not want to transfer. Are we ableto say we no longer want to transfer, sell it?

Anybody?

I had that happened to me once before. Domain sold at buy it now for$1000 but I didn't want to sell it anymore at that price.

Here is what you do, contact sedo immediately and tell them that you no longer own the domain as you (1) sold it before already and forgot to remove the listing.

They will cancel the sale, and inform the potential buyer that the sale cannot be completed. They may suspend your account but more likely you will get a warning only like they did me.

I decided to just forget about it and take the loss.

If it will be sold for a lot later I'll just hang myself;-)

It was drdre.net, i love the name, but wasn'tabletosell any beats by dre or anything on it anyway, as i heard Dre does not take these things lightly.

Maybe he got it (buyer's info is protected) at a steal now, only 200$ :/

Priced domains can sell quicker but I set all my domains at make offer as I own too many and have them listed on my own site and at a handful of markets so constantly having to adjust prices across different platforms would be too much work.

You're right. Lying to everyone to weasel out of an agreement is always the best policy and completely legal in any and all business transactions - where legally binding agreements have already been made.

Sounds like a winner!

Dr. Dre would have had his lawyer send a letter. Slamdunk. He didn't buy it.

It happens to the best of us. People can change their mind. In my case, I listed the domain 6 or 8 months prior and forgot it wasn't removed. The domain was white labeled and making $300 a month without any advertising. Then Christmas Day last year someone bought it at $1000 through Sedo buy it now. Funny thing is I got the advice from someone on GFY and it worked so I am paying it forward

Yes it does but in my personal view, it is HIGHLY unprofessional to do so.

You always need to think long and hard before deciding whether the price is right and whether you want to sell that price. Once you have made your mind up, either accept the offer or don't accept the offer.

Basically part of doing business is about principles and if you don't have them, you won't be doing business. What I am trying to say is that even though we rely on contracts for enforcement, they should not be needed because "your word should be your bond".

A lot of people discover Sedo's business model in this manner, you should let them close your account and not use their service further.
