WEEK SEVENTEEN RESULTS

The Steelers not only needed a win over the Browns but also needed the NYJets to lose to Buffalo, and lo and behold they got everything, and they?re in the playoffs.
The Vikings win over the Pack means that Minnesota is going to the post-season winning the NFC North for the first time since ?09. Awesome for them. Green Bay meanwhile still makes it in but they are struggling.
SEAHAWKS needed a win plus a Carolina Panthers loss in order to win home field adv. in the playoffs. They got the huge win over Arizona but, well, no way in hell were the Panthers going to lose to Tampa. ha

So the playoff picture is set, the regular season is at an end. Time for playoff football, YES!

For those who feel they are out of the running for the top prizes remember: there are two other prizes that may still be within your reach....

Superbowl Prize: $100 prize for the person who predicts the Superbowl game correctly. If you have made your predictions every week for the entire season and you end up at the top of the Superbowl scoresheet posted after the game, you win.
* If the top person does not qualify then it falls to the next eligible player down the list.

The Worst Picker Prize: $200 prize for the person ending up with the lowest score of the entire season+playoffs. The winner must have made all of his/her picks for the year to qualify. Thus, the first person at the bottom who has made all of their picks who ends up with the lowest overall score wins this highly coveted award.

Sunday's games were by comparison a bit less dramatic overall.

BRONCOS WIN! ~ In spite of about a million dropped passes Manning & co are off to face Brady & co for the AFC conference title next week. This will be the 5th time the two arguably greatest QB's of their generation will go up against each other in the post-season.

SEAHAWKS LOSE! ~ It looked like it was going to be a massive blowout by halftime (31-0) but at least they came back to make it a contest in the 3rd and 4th, but too little - too late. Anyone still wondering if Carolina is the real deal wonder no more. They will face Arizona for the NFC conference title next weekend.

Lots of points still to be won in the 3 remaining games. Anything can happen in the top 10 mathematically.

Picks for the two Conf. Championship games are already live, but you have all week to think on it.

Damn close race. And with the amount of points on the line for these remaining games finishing in the top 10 or 15 for some people is still possible. Overtaking the person ahead of you is in a lot of cases still very possible.

Broncos D were all over Brady, which made the difference in winning the game.

Carolina, well what can you say? They absolutely blew out the Cards, destroyed them really.

Panthers seem like the proverbial "team of destiny" this year, but you're right, the stage is also set for a huge exit on high-note for Peyton. And the Broncos have been due for another SB win for a few years now it seems.

BRONCOS WIN! ~ In spite of about a million dropped passes Manning & co are off to face Brady & co for the AFC conference title next week. This will be the 5th time the two arguably greatest QB's of their generation will go up against each other in the post-season. SEAHAWKS LOSE! ~ It looked like it was going to be a massive blowout by halftime (31-0) but at least they came back to make it a contest in the 3rd and 4th, but too little - too late. Anyone still wondering if Carolina is the real deal wonder no more. They will face Arizona for the NFC conference title next weekend. Lots of points still to be won in the 3 remaining games.
