I use WS_FTP 12 ... works fine, I would say the stall in transfers is your ISP though.. when I was using cable that what would happen to my transfers.. now that I'm microwave no more issues...

OMFG Rob, so this was the case. I just recently had the same issues with my sites as it got exploited and they were injecting this php redirect script to all my sites. I was going fucking nuts. My hosting company was not doing shit for me, so I changed my hosting but I am still using filezilla, but this time I am NOT saving the passwords in filezilla. It always asks for PW when I log in. Finally an answer to my question.

You changed the host, but still use the same programm, that injects your host?

The hole download on sourceforge, comes full of chinese adware,
that reloads a bunch of trojans.

Not sure if the fact, that filezilla stores ftp logins in text files,
is just an remarkable coincidence.
