Webcam sites I would say are probably the safe bet of porn these days.

People love it being live and interactive.

But they need to be more innovative.

Today most webcam sites look a bit dated. Just a row of boxes showing who is online.

There are areas that in my mind could also be involved, some being:

- The ability to move the camera.

- Several cameras (you choose which camera to look at).

- Interaction using smart phones.

- Sex toys that are interactive.

- Better ways to tip the model.

- Some sort of interaction between other webcam models.

- Social media/forums/blogs on the webcam site.

- The ability to buy models gifts via the site.

- The ability to send models gifts via the site.

- VIP areas.

- Sound only (like sex lines).

- Live shows from strip clubs.

- Live shows from studios.

- Webcam sites working together so one model can be on more than one site without having to have separate webcams.

I have to agree, cams are where its at.

As for your ideas... I think the biggest obstacles to what people have always wanted from camsites (bandwidth/computing power, user capacity, video resolution/FPS) have been pretty much overcome. Users are generally happy. And the beauty in it, is its simplicity. It delivers exactly what people are looking for, while never needing to be overly-complicated.

However, being a visionary and having ideas for improvement is where great innovation can come from. But for the innovation to exist, you generally have to create it yourself. Envision it, make it work, put it on a website, and hope people will come and appreciate what you've done. If you're lucky, you'll have raised the bar to a point where no one will want the old way anymore.

Your ideas are pretty nice and could be done. Some of them already done:
* several cameras could be connected to virtual camera and showed at the same time or switched from one to another by model. It is easy to allow customer to switch between cam devices
* We have application allowing models to stream from mobile devices and receive tips or private chat directly at iOS/Android devices already but it is not really popular.
* We have developed first version of USB based vibrator about 7 years ago but was not able to use it. The same time chaturbate driven by small tips using it very well - it is mainly depends on user traffic
* Tipping model is already pretty easy
* Forum/Blog already available but who would read it?
* buy and send gifts is not what models are looking for - they need money.
But would be good to buy something personal from models (panties, etc)

To draw the line - you need real traffic, real customers and based on real needs you can do something new and popular at the same time.
