Like Facebook, twitter, Instagram? My reasoning in not having them is that Users would be to embarrassed to add my porn sites to their social media accounts.

Or am I wrong?

Social site traffic doesn't convert and it wastes tons and tons of time! It's best to create the social sites have like & follow buttons on your main site and let people naturally like/follow then post your content on the social sites to get people back on your site!

You would be surprised how much traffic you can gain from the social media sites (twitter and tumblr).

I would be interested in hearing more about this. One of the reasons I do not do Twitter et all. I have such limited time and it seems like such a waste.

The entire key is to push out your product to any many people as possible in any many ways as possible.

One of the best things I've done is creating an automated email list - people sign up to my email list, and every blog post I make from any of my blogs automatically goes to this list.

Some of my affilaites at Dating Factory push all of their traffic through their Facebook group.

Lots of people don't have a account because of that man, so use your biz entity NOT your personal name..

FB URLs get ranked good so you're losing lots of organic and social media traffic..

What is your measure of what works within the silo of the Social Media you are using and touting? Statistical measurement of Social Media is more than measuring click thru referrals and conversion touchpoints.

Most people in in the adult business cannot buy an ad in a Social Media so they try to use Social Media for guerilla advertising. Social Media account strategies are not advertising with your posts. I have seen a few independent cam girls who "get it."

I use social media but I don't generally spend much time on the sites. It's just another way how you can gain extra exposure your site, so why not take advantage of it? I do not use Facebook for my adult website, but I do use Twitter, Tumblr ...and a few other social media sites.
