It's easy to get a picture of what it makes. Take the US and EU traffic per day estimate the CTR on ads, the price they're paid for clicks and a rough guess can be made. Of course you have to deduct the costs, servers, staff, location, etc.

I have a vague memory of that domain being stolen via the registry. Emails were posted and letters, too. A lawsuit against the thief eventually got the domain returned. I read it all here so if you search back to the mid-nineties I think you’ll find it.

I thought it was sold back then for one million dollars which was obscene to most people.
