Nothing to worry about. People who use adblockers don't want to see ads because they don't want to buy what's advertised.

If you're buying traffic by clicks, they save you money. If you're buying and hoping someone will buy. They save you even more money.

Do they sell ad space on a per click or per view basis?

Paul, it's hard to buy PPC (pay per click) ads in porn. Click fraud is an issue too

We buy AdWords CPC for cams -- Google is ok with that (ads for adult cams) but the CPC keeps going up. Directive advertising has high conversion rates. Most web ads do not. Why do you think GOOGL is worth what it is?

Did you know that the CPC for domain registration AdWords is $10 to $15 a click now WTF? Even if 1 in 3 register that may generate only $20 a year in revenue. Maybe the average account acquisition is more like $100 per/year? IDK but even if that is true that advertising cost is huge.

Ad blockers affect 3rd party ads -- I buy ads served direct on websites with good traffic volume.

That is murky. I have real time nosql (hadoop) tracking on ads billed as served CPM and the ability to track actual CTR by the person who is referred by IP.

I can see what ads create CTR; from what advertiser page; and what pages on our sites are viewed -- right down to the individual model and sometimes the duration.

If I have the time or the inclination to do so We have other people doing this as part of their full time jobs.

This is well worth a review. Great post, Op.

There is a youtube video of the conference these powerpoints were made for.

Mary Meeker's 2016 internet trends report: All the slides, plus analysis - Recode

I think countries with high mobile usage vs desktop are not seeing most ads. Japan is listed at 10% for adblockers because hardly anyone uses a desktop anymore outside of work. No flash, no pops.

The price of this style of ads is determined by the conversion of traffic from those ads. If people can convert at 1-3 and get $200 from that conversion. They out price you.

So work on your selling before worrying about traffic.

It's essential for someone to itemise down to the last click why one girl converts better than another and why some girls get such great traffic without affiliates, they don't bother with the affiliate, studio, publisher system.

As you point out, it's tough for you to pay the price others can pay. Why is that?

As Jerkule says it's only going to get worse, maybe to the point of bringing down Tubes. For now their traffic converts well enough for them to sell ads and fund their free porn system. So look at ways of marketing that isn't relant on slinging traffic and hoping.
