Can you make good money off these sites? My friend owns ratemy.com and i am thinking of building a site that lists all the rating type sites out there on it. I see so many of these rating sites out there. Is this a good idea, can i make money from this?

nope, if you want ill take the domain off your hands before you lose out any more.

Well, as with everything else it depends on how you do it. If create an easy to use site, promote it and get a lot of traffic. Then eventually you may start to collect the STA$H.
