I was told that the number of things I have running at any given time is excessive.

Chrome: 15 tabs, 8 tabs, 4 tabs, 6 tabs, 8 tabs, 8 tabs, 5 tabs, 4 tabs, 2 tabs, 6 tabs
Photoshop: 4 projects open
Dreamweaver: 16 files open
Nifty Stats
Putty: 5 windows
Metapad: 18 files open
Edit 2 plus: 2 files open
Raptor 3: 1 instance
Windows explorer: 5 windows open
IE: 5 tabs
FF: 2 tabs
Icq
Skype

Excessive?

Multiple programs, but only a few tabs at most. I see no need to have many of them opened at the same time.

I have 33 tabs open and I need all of them at the same time for work.

I close a tab as soon as I finish something in it.
I know how to open it again when I need it open.

wondering, if those with separate graphics cards use both, the integral & separate or just one, and if both, what programs for which card?

I usually have chrome running with maybe 5 to 10 tabs, each my sites, MC database, social networks and profiles for updating new clips and images. An image editor, a film editor, skype & a cam.

I have google chrome running on my separate graphics card, a GeForce GTX 950M & any online gaming we use. Then my cam and editors run smooth on my built in graphics card intel hd 52 4gb...
Although, the system is set to use the 950m 6gb if needed

My task bar is 5 rows high

I have roughly 155 windows open currently, including around 70 browser windows, and around 30 SSH sessions.

I usually start closing windows once the individual task bar buttons get so squashed you can no longer read any of the title. It's getting to that point right now, most buttons show one or maybe two letters...
