Let's start with the very first one..... Don't plan on buying a new car with a diesel engine? Me either. But I'm guessing somewhere along the line nearly every product I've purchased was most likely transported by a truck with a diesel engine. Those new costs will be factored into everything you buy so.....

As far as these chinese made goods.. I use to actually sell chinese atvs locally and on ebay. Most of them were stolen designs. The one's I sold most were a stolen design of the Raptor.. They were actually good quads because of that.. But there again that's China's scheme.. Steal designs/patents and undercut the market.

That's the list provided.. Spacecraft launch vehicles in, food out... Your argument is moot. All of these countries already had trade tariffs on American goods hence the trade war.. Considering the majority of people in China couldn't afford an imported American made car to begin with adding a tariff to that puts it even further out of reach.

lower taxes for billionaires (including yourself - allegedly) - recover money by having the general population pay more for their chinese crap - distract everyone by blabbering nonsense on a daily basis - leave White House after dividing the country up to the brink of civil war and spend the rest of your days playing golf.
Genius plan.

No, you are. What do you not get about the fact that it costs more to make somethng in the US than in China so by adding a tariff on top of an already unobtainable product it increases the cost to the Chinese people making it even more unobtainable?
What do you not get about the fact that China is stealing US designs and Patents, undercutting US manufacturers and aren't paying any tariffs?

The food is coming to the US.. meaning you will pay more for it.. on top of this with food that is exported farmers here will sell less of it as other options from other countries will be cheaper. This will also drive up your prices because they will have to charge more here to cover their loss elsewhere.. It's called the double whammy..

The cost of farm machinery in America is going to skyrocket. How The Tariffs Will Impact Your Machinery Purchases Trade war with China risks US farm machinery jobs AEM We depend on a worldwide marketplace to have manufacturing work in the United States, Slater explained to AgriTalk host Chip Flory adding that farm machinery manufacturers sell 40% of their products outside of the U.S. According to Slater, the steel and aluminum tariffs increase the cost to manufacture equipment which makes the end product more expensive for the customer. That increased cost can make it very difficult to sell machines to customers overseas, Slater explained. So suddenly the U.S. manufacturer is less competitive and with the increased cost, they also face the fact of how they pass that cost along, he said. So, in the end, the American consumer or the farmer ends up paying more for the equipment because of the tariffs. |

The overall trade war is because these countries impose tariffs on goods that already cost more to produce here in the US... Making them more unobtainable and in turn decreasing the likelihood people in these countries will buy our products.. Do you not get how that works? Trump is just giving them a taste of their own medicine..... That isn't free trade... Free trade means no tariffs or equal tariffs on each side.. Hell let's quit even using the word free, how about fair trade?

Do you know who is the largest buyer of the minerals used in transistors, capacitors, etc? China The price of made in America Electronics just went up 25%. Do you understand that? If the price doesn't go up the companies will be going out of business. Trump just made us 25% less competitive in the worlwide electronics manufacturing industry. AMERICAN ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURERS REACT TO CHINA TRADE TARIFFS "Now, manufacturers are feeling the pinch. An email distributed by Moog Music last Friday has asked their supporters to contact their senators and representatives." "Mere weeks ago, the United States announced it was set to impose a 25% tariff on over 800 categories of Chinese goods. These tariffs include nearly every component that goes into the manufacture of any piece of electronic hardware, from resistors to capacitors, semiconductors to microcontrollers, and even the raw components that are turned into printed circuit boards. These tariffs will increase the cost of materials for electronics, even if those electronics are ultimately manufactured in the United States because suppliers and subcontractors must source their materials from somewhere, and more often than not, that place is China. Now, manufacturers are feeling the pinch. An email distributed by Moog Music last Friday has asked their supporters to contact their senators and representatives." |

That is the point of everything President Trump is doing right now.
No more words - all action. Let's see where politicians really stand on issues and we'll let the people decide in November. For too long they could say one thing and do another - that is over. Nothing people post on GFY will change the countdown to reality. |

It's very much a reality that if someone in Mexico wants to buy from me their funds have to be approved by the government before being sent into the US supposedly because of drugs.. When it's the exact opposite.. Drugs move out, money flows back in... It's a reality that person in Mexico pays a higher price for my goods due to their tariff. Which means they are less likely to buy from me..

The only companies that are going to do well with Trump's tariffs are multibillion-dollar multinational corporations with multiple manufacturing facilities in multiple countries. Which one of us will be in business longer? Can you say Walmart? Now the only way for me to try and survive is another market. How about where you get your product, China. So I send my product which costs 40% more to produce without even considering freight over to China and they slap on a tariff.. How much longer do you think I'll be in business? I guess I can just move my business to China? Hmmm is that why they do that? You don't say?

why onwebcam would argue in favor of a tariff war is beyond reason. realistic estimates are GDPs across the globe will be hit 2-3% points.

BMW Spartanburg exports 30% of their production to China - if they need to, they will move this out of the country. Currently they employ 8800 people in an area where there's not much else around. And they will not be the only one, there is not one single car produced in the US that is made from 100% american parts. So good luck with that. BTW - why it is never mentioned that the US has a 25% tariff specifically for light trucks like the F150 etc? Don't want any competition here? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicken_tax Cause as Vendzilla always says: pickup trucks are important for Americans! PS: Quote:

He thinks Mexico, Canada & Japan aren't raising the prices of their exports to America to compensate. |
