I have been here 6 years now, and love it! The local people are very friendly, and it is much safer than the US. Food is good, and if you get sick of VN food there are plenty of western options. But it is not for everyone, being in the tropics it is very hot and humid.

Driving a scooter here can be dangerous but fun. If you have a pre-existing health problem I probably wouldn't come here to live. They are catching up, but still well behind with medical expertise. The locals can also be frustratingly slow and lacking in logic.

There are quite a few expats here, mostly from US/France/Aus. Also many Japanese and Koreans who are pretty cool and keep to themselves. You don't get the sexpat crowd of Thailand, mostly a combination of startup/digital nomads and English Teachers.

Although it is a communist country, you are more free to do what you want here than in the US/Aus. Can smoke weed in public. Police leave foreigners alone. Cost of living is much cheaper than living in Sydney and Seattle (only 2 places I have lived before). Easy to get laid if you're white (they can be brutally racist against dark skin), but not many hookers like Thailand.

Yeah not as much hookers/booze/drugs as Thailand, but you can still find them if you know where to look. Yeah the Vietnamese women tend to have whiter skin than Thai girls. They protect themselves from the sun like Koreans and Chinese. Vietnamese women would have to be the most beautiful I have countered in Asia. Especially down south in the Mekong area.

Monsoon season typically begins between October to Decemeber in Da Nang (central Vietnam).The South and North are different again. It rains for as long as it wants. There seems to be no pattern. Sometimes it will rain for 10 minutes really heavy. Other times it will drizzle all day.

I am too new in the carribean/south america to be able to give an answer...next 2 months I will be in the dominican republic...love it here but some people have bad stories and there are so many other islands I still have so much to see...

I found a nice house, 60m2 total, about 50m from the beach for 36K euros near nagua, north shore dom rep...incredible value for money...but I can get rent here for like 150$/month so buying anything here is probably not worth the investment...

Perth would be the first. Stable, cheap comparatively, great beaches, great people, great fishing, great food, great weather and you can bolt action target rifle shoot all you. Actually, it would be North of the city 70 miles or so and you're on the coast in the middle of nowhere.

Late 60's and up.

Georgia the country, would be second. Great food, scenery, lots and lots of cultures, beautiful women, and very cheap. You can live on the Black Sea outside the city for about $300-$500 a month very nicely. The surrounding countries are more than let's say, interesting. Most 35-year-olds down, speak English and they truly do like Americans.

Finally, in the last decade or so, I've paid so much in taxes that at 70 I'll receive $3,698 a month without my ancillary retirement. This alone is enough to live reasonably well outside of Perth, and VERY well in Georgia.

I like 4 seasons but not too long of cold in winters. So India or SE Asia is out for me. Both have great Internet connections.

I am heading to Latin America in 2 weeks. Was also looking at Dominican Republic but saw it was hurricane season till november. So i was looking for more options.

Fiance is korean, we go every year. Love it. Busan, Seoul are prime destinations. Usually stay in less touristy areas like ilsan or goyang than train/sub and bus all over the country. It's nice walking around with beer bought from 7 Eleven and trying different street food carts half of which I'm not sure what I'm eating.

But second choice I'd agree, New Zealand definitely
I've only been once and will go back.
