Don't forget the 400,000+ government workers who on furlough due to the government shutdown. However, due to the shutdown happening during the month, that statistic was not considered and they will only be counted in the month of January report.

So regardless if the 312k new jobs is gross or net, the actual result is a negative growth rate when you factor in all conditions.

Furloughed government contract workers like the 10,000 furloughed FEMA workers, will never be paid for the days they've been furloughed. That's not having a job. No pay. No work. No guarantee of work after the shutdown is over.

Furloughed workers sign up for unemployment benefits.

Or did you not know that?

Or are you just a lying piece of shit that think we don't know that?

A furlough is a layoff = No job. No pay.

What Is Unemployment Furlough?

Federal workers — in a panic about their pay — apply for unemployment

Yes, furloughed government contractors are eligible for unemployment during the government shutdown

You don't get it. The report excluded the 400,000 people that are NOT being paid, and may not get paid for a really long time. Trumps shutdown if anything, resulted in a net loss of employed people for at least the past week. Trump said the shutdown can go on for a long time. Exactly how are these people supposed to be employed? What if it was you? What if Obama did this?

Ok, in simpler terms:

312,000 new jobs - 400,000 jobs due to Govt shutdown = -(88,000) jobs.

Result: There are less jobs than before.

Or the Democrats could stop being whiny shits and give in and get the funding for the wall. I have yet to hear one good reason for not building it other than it might hurt someone's feelings.

Republicans refused to fund the wall for the last 2 years, and they are still refusing to fund the wall.

The title of that article "Why the increase in the unemployment rate in December is good news for the economy"

There is a shitload of material about why a wall won't work (and that the large majority of illegals enters the country legally and then overstay their visa) and even simple logic already tells you that no wall on this planet will hold everyone back - not even when you shoot at the people who are trying to cross them.

But hey, keep screaming and yelling, fine with me.

Who doesn't know shit about your country? You, obviously. Pay attention:

1) There are more jobs going to Mexico. Just look at GM. More Jobs going to Mexico means less interest in crossing to the US. The Real ID program makes it harder to work illegally in the US. U.S. Unauthorized Immigrant Total Dips to Lowest Level in a Decade

2) Border Crossings have gone down. https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/sw-border-migration

3) None of the 38 Texas Congressional Republicans in Texas offered a complete endorsement of the entire border wall plan. https://www.texastribune.org/2016/12...stands-trumps/

4) 60% of Americans oppose the wall. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/most-am...cbs-news-poll/

5) It will damage the environment and devastate wildlife: https://www.texastribune.org/2017/03...s-border-wall/

One of the areas impacted would be the Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge containing 400 bird species and 300 butterfly species. Tourism infuses $463 million into the local economy and sustains 6,600 jobs. Source: https://www.fws.gov/uploadedfiles/na...b-2011_508.pdf

6) It might be illegal. The Fifth Amendment’s Takings Clause states “nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation.” However, nothing in that provision expressly gives Congress the power of eminent domain, which allows the government to acquire privately owned land if it’s for public use. "https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/posteverything/wp/2017/11/29/the-founders-would-have-opposed-seizing-land-for-trumps-border-wall/?utm_term=.5c9407742f07

Is that enough for you?

(PS Vendy is pretending to have me on ignore so feel free to copy-paste this if you want).

Reasons for not building the wall.

1. It will cost more than we think. Everything with the government does and there will be lawsuits, delays etc.

2. It won't stop that many people. We don't have enough people to patrol and protect the wall so people will go over, under or through it.

3. People will find alternate ways in either using tourist visas, going by sea, air etc.

4. It may never get done. Funding could get cut, there could be legal issues, etc.

A better way to spend this money and curb illegal immigration would be:

1. End birthright citizenship. This will kill illegals ability to get welfare.

2. Go hard after the companies that hire illegals. I'm not talking about the random place that accidentally hires one illegal. I'm talking about the bigger industries. Much of the construction, agriculture, and food prep industries in this country operate on the backs of illegals.

3. Streamline the deportation process to make it quicker.

4. Improve and streamline the system that is in place that allows people to come here legally.

5. Work with the countries where most of the immigrants come from to improve those countries so fewer people will want to leave.

When people know they can't get jobs or welfare here, they will stop coming here.

Illegals buy cell phones

Illegals pay for cellphone service

Illegals buy gas

Illegals buy groceries

Illegals buy clothes

Illegals buy movie tickets

Illegals go to restaurants

Illegals buy cars

Illegals pay rent for housing

Etc. Etc. Etc.

The real reason Republicans are not tough on immigration.

You are pretty proud of your "twatwaffles" word aren't you. I'm afraid it's not really going to catch on. In fact, it sounds pretty stupid and doesn't help your insipid argument about changing the Citizens United crap and getting rid the electoral college. Both need to go and will. This country is changing now thanks to the orange moron and you will probably not recognize it after 2020. It's for certain that people like you will be marginalized and ineffective when that happens and you will just have to live with it. So you might go ahead and do us all a favor now and just fade away.

Funny, you probably hate Trump but he is working on those very things, even Mexico is getting on board with a lot of that. As far as the wall, the border patrol, you know those people that are down there have said the fencing that has gone up has helped a lot, I don't know where you get your info

The border patrol has stated that the fencing that Obama and Bush put up has helped a lot and these are the people on the front line. Will it cost more, sure, but it will employ people which is better than the 3 billion spent on cash for clunkers, 4.5 trillion spent on qualititive easing by Obama to prop up the banks and the 800 billion stimulus package or the money they gave to Iran or the 54 billion that Pelosi wants for foriegn aid. 5 billion will go a long way and at least we are doing something. Trump may just declare an emergency and get it funded that way because Obama set a precedent to do things like that. Then the Democrats new power will twindle away with all their hopes and dreams they had based on the leverage they presently have.

But hey, keep screaming and yelling, fine with me.
It's not about stopping them, I guess you have no concept of what a deterrent is.

You just say "people say" shit and don't link to anything to back up your hate trolling. Lazy hate troll.

It's not the 1990's you can't just say stuff and people take your word for it without providing links.

Did you ever have access to the GFY user database, or an opportunity to download it, before your time as a GFY admin was ended?

itīs not ONLY what you have mentioned - there is a lot more.

i saw it here in thailand when the military regime took action against the illegal construction helpers from cambodia and laos. they were of the opinion that there are enough workers for it in thailand itself. now, however, even a thai with a minimum wage of 300 dollars increases the construction costs to such an extent that the houses and flats could no longer be sold.

the result after one year was that hundreds of construction companies went bankrupt. thousands of thais who had a job with the sale, organization and management of these properties became unemployed.

after one year these foreign workers were taken back to the country with a bonus and the police are instructed not to carry out any more checks regarding work permits and legal residency.

and this is only the construction biz. it would be even mess when they would do the same in agriculture and farming (what are thailandīs biggest export goods).

the right wingers do not understand how cheap labor and unbalance of prosperity INSIDE AND OUTSIDE helps them to survive and makes product affordable.

at the end it is not how much money you make - it is how much you can buy for it. if it is less it means that prosperity is decreasing. and this is what they are calling for when they do not understand on what factors and influences worldwide economies are based.
