Anyone else promoting Kink.com ?

I used to promote Kink.com and did fairly well with them.

Wondering how people are doing now?

Also, does anyone know if they still own the old Armoury building?

SF Armory Sells for $65 Million

Kink.com paid only $14.5 million for it in 2007. After porn production wound down last year, the Armory and its 39,000-square-foot drill court became an event space.

Nice profit. I love that building.

they used to have like 30 sites at once, each dedicated to a specific sub fetish within BDSM...now you get all of them for the price of one...from a promo aspect this is much better value for the surfer and they have a ton of content...

I don't think affiliate sales or even their sites are really their focus these days. With stuff like the sale of The Armory, along with getting harassed by CalOSHA, can't really blame them for putting their interests and efforts elsewhere.

That's a shame, it's such a strong brand.

We were affiliate #302 with Kink back in the earliest days. Made good bank with them for years. Payments were very reliable. Peter ran a good program.

Slowed down after everyone hopped on the bandwagon and promoted the shit outta them.

I custom-designed banners for them on all our sites just to try and make'em stand apart from all the other affiliates.

All good things had to come to an end, unfortunately.

They broke 75% of my installed base of links when they shifted from NATS in 2017 — an estimated 3000 links across about 1200 blog posts dating back to 2004. That was so demoralizing that I have only recently gotten fire-and-sword serious about fixing or removing all the broken links and linhs that don’t properly credit my traffic. These were mostly tiny traffic from deep archives, but it adds up!

Plus, the trend away from still photos — and the year they spent where no photos were available AT ALL in the member area — has been a very bad fit for my traffic and promotion methods.

Also, their internal operations seem very haphazard and barebones. It’s like pulling teeth to get a response from the affiliate support email, and like pulling a whole mouthful if you actually need something from them.

Having said all that, I am actually getting sales from them and (with difficulty) the affiliate support I need. Whereas their main competitor in the space from my perspective (Intersec/Kinkstercash) is not making sales on my old links, let my content access expire in early 2018, and did not respond to SIX EMAILS over several months to affiliate support and to marketing about renewed content access. So much for a 12 year relationship...

I am acually seeing a Kink.com sales uptick since mid december. Seasonal, or linked to Tumblr commiting suicide by banning porn? Too soon to say.

Thanks for the insight.
