Washington (CNN)Officials from the Justice Department have spoken repeatedly with the White House about special counsel Robert Mueller's findings, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

The Times report, citing people with knowledge of the discussions, said the talks "aided the President's legal team" as it works to rebut the report, which the Justice Department said it will release with redactions on Thursday.
Spokespeople for the White House and Justice Department declined to comment to the Times, which said ABC News first reported on the recent conversations between the White House and Justice Department. ABC said previously that the White House had received a broad, non-specific briefing on the report.

The Attorney General does not work for the President. The Attorney General is not the President's attorney. It is not the Attorney General's job to protect or defend the President. The job of the Attorney General is to represent the United States; Not defend the President when the United States Government is investigating him for treason and obstruction of justice. The job of the Attorney General is to uphold the law, not bypass the law and assist the target of what might be one of the largest legal cases to face a sitting President. This is immoral, vile, unethical, and most likely illegal.

This is the same thing as a judge telling a defendant how to beat their case in court.

If the Mueller investigation says there is no collusion and no obstruction of justice, why would the Attorney General need to brief the President? If there was no crime and the report is going to tell us this, why is the President's legal team crafting a rebuttal?

The only thing Trump's legal team should be saying is "See, we told you this was a nothing burger". But it isn't a nothing burger is it? Everything in the report is going to make the President's campaign and the President himself look bad.

Three years into this administration and he has accomplished NOTHING. The new NAFTA isn't new at all and isn't going to be approved by the US, Canada, or Mexico. Trump hasn't built a single stretch of wall (except for a fence that was approved for by Obama). He hasn't fixed the drug crisis, He hasn't fixed the VA. He hasn't fixed the Middle East problem (the other side isn't even taking to us). Did he fix the North Korea problem (LOL). He still hasn't had as high of a GDP as Obama. The only thing he has accomplished is a tax cut for the rich that send out deficit through the roof.

The release of the Mueller report isn't the end. It's just the beginning. Republicans will try to bury it as much as they can, and Democrats will fight for transparency until the entire report has come out.

They can fight it all they want but the truth is going to come out.
