What's the most recent concert you went to?

For me it was a double bill of Judas Priest and Deep Purple.

I've seen Priest many times, but it was the first time I'd seen Deep Purple. It was a great show.

Deep Purple was one of the loudest concerts I have ever been to. People a mile away said the sound system was great.

Dave East concert about 2 years ago.

I stopped doing concerts around '99 when a friend of mine who was a promoter and would get me into every concert I wanted for free as a minor got murdered. I'm cheap, and concerts were far down the totem pole in my budgeting back then.

But I had to show up to Dave's concert to show my support for another brown NY american muslim.

Side irrelevant story: I almost got kicked out the concert for vaping some purple punch in the crowd. Bouncer wasnt aware Dave is my little homie. He learned that day.

pretty much every session here that has more than 50 people has live music. it's sometimes the only thing that keeps me sane in this city

last 'known name' session was Buju about 2 weeks ago. was amazing, had so much fun

Yeah I use to listen to him, Haven't heard anything from him in about 8 years tho.

Buju tho? I grew up on dude. Dude is part of the soundtrack of my childhood, back when the shower posse ran the weed game in NY.

Roger Waters at the Forum, HeavyMontreal (Rob Zombie, Marylin Manson, Limp Bizkit), Montebellow Rockfest (Snoop Dogg, Rancid, Rob Zombie again, and Rammstein!)

Speaking of Rammstein, these guys put on the most kick-ass absolute best show I have ever seen. I first saw them in Montreal in 2012 and 4 times since then. Heavy Industrial Metal + 2 stages + BDSM +Anal Sex + Jizzing all over the audience.

watch.

Like Holy fuck.

if only concert-concerts count (as in: no electronic live acts) then Ozric Tentacles a few years back.

I'm fortunate to live in city that nearly every act comes through. I see a LOT of shows.

2019 so far:

Elton John JAN 23, 2019 - Staples Center

Peter Murphy FEB 28, 2019 - The Novo

Nick Mason MAR 16, 2019. - The Wiltern

Spiritualized MAR 29, 2019 - The Troubador

Chemical Brothers MAY 16, 2019 - Greek Theater

Tickets for upcoming:

Dead & Co JUN 3, 2019 - Hollywood Bowl

Paul McCartney JUL 13, 2019 - Dodger Stadium

OZZY POSTPONED - Hollywood Bowl

Smaller venues are usually more fun, but mega-acts usually playa mega-venues.
