Are you from a country that bans porn or something? I don't know why you would need Tor for any LEGAL adult webmaster work.

If it's due to your country blocking porn, you're better off with a VPN.

It's illegal here to even visit a adult site.
I can't use vpn and this is simple question, i'm using chrome and I heard Tor is safe for this track stuff.
Which is better for me ? Tor or Chrome?

Gotcha. Sorry to hear that.

In the case, if you are unable to use a VPN I guess your only option would the the Tor browser. In my opinion, it would be a tough browser to use for work due to slow speeds.

You might want to look into the Brave browser. It's based on Chrome and designed around privacy protection. I *think* it has a built in Tor browser as well. Not too familiar with Brave or Tor for that matter so take what I say with a grain of salt.

Best of luck.

Do VPN systems have a footprint?

I would not trust Tor with my login credentials. As the exit nodes can be sniffed.

For example, let’s say you are connecting to Google through Tor – your traffic is passed through several Tor relays, but it must eventually emerge from the Tor network and connect to Google’s servers.

The last Tor node, where your traffic leaves the Tor network and enters the open Internet, can be monitored. This node where traffic exits the Tor network is known as an “exit node” or “exit relay.”

Can be? They ALWAYS sniffed. Tor protects your IP and hides the URLs you visit, but it does not protect your information.

Your simplest option (and safest) is to move to a less restrictive country.

If visiting a website is subject to penalty in your country then I would hate to know how grim the circumstances would be of someone caught dealing in the business of porn sites.

I never wanted to use Tor since it works on exchange, meaning someone else you could do some crap while using your ip as node so dont see point of using it. Plus it terribly slow as well, VPN is simply for the win.

As far as I know, Australia is not safe for that...

Tor is Ok to hidde your ass i used it myself for several years.
But do some more researches to hide your digital fingerprint.
There are some good plugins for firefox out there, which let you surf almost invisibly.
If i would be you, i would stop asking questions like that in public boards.

A friend of mine lived in your country and worked there as teacher
for a couple of years and he told me, the only thing that is sure in your country,
is that nothing is sure, secure and unsupervised there.

So i would not be just on TOR in your situation.

Best Regards

For digital prints is good to use mobile phone, especially some common generic version which repeats often.

Sniffing Tor is almost the same as the NSA sniffing traffic passing through the USA, or whatever Five Eyes country is appropriate:

1. They can see who you're connecting to, even when using TLS/HTTPS (with SNI the browser passes the domain name so the server knows which certificate to send back)

2. They can see HTTP headers (including the URL) and content, but not HTTPS headers or content if TLS is used.

3. The difference with Tor is that the source IP is masked, although with a powerful enough adversary it may be possible to figure it out by using timing attacks to link the exit relay back to the entry IP.

I'd consider Tor to be something like free wifi in a coffee shop next door to a hacking convention... you remain somewhat anonymous (a typical exit relay probably won't know the source IP), but you should assume that whatever you're browsing is being passively recorded or monitored in some way, and you should never submit data (especially login data) via a non encrypted form.

Tor is a good solution but nothing is really safe as the silk road story told us:

https://www.wired.com/2015/05/silk-road-untold-story/

Still it was an extreme case, so should be good for 99,9% of the cases.

Random User-Agent + Canvas Defender

These things work well with VPN. Especially if used with spoof timezone plugin and SimpleDnsCrypt app to solve all your problems when (once again) you are under your own private VPN server.

You as a moderator can see my IP, right? But it won't be Moscow - the city I live in. My timezone won't be a Moscow timezone. My browser and operating system will be different anytime you check them (just try and you'll see). WebRTC and other shit won't work too. Even my local DNS server is not in Moscow as well. That's how the system works.

On the other hand, everybody can see your own IP address and many more. The only thing he needs to do is to post a small image here (e.g. a banner in the signature). But if he will post a link, which you click... he will know everything, including your account names in social networks - not passwords of course, but all your accounts which you are currently logged in - your posts there, your pictures, pictures of your family members and friends you post, because he will associate your GFY nick with that personal accounts in all the social networks. Sad, but true.

This is why a basic Internet security is a must. And TOR won't help with it. It will just hide your IP.
