Yea that is possibile by modifying the login script to create new entry in DB that is used by phpBB. However for already logged in users, they would need to login again in order for user to be added to phpBB, or to simply register manually. We didn't do exactly this in the past, but we had some similar tasks.

WordPress is usually not a perfect solution if you want to scale it to millions of users. Here’s a few things that can be done to improve WordPress website scalability:

⁃ Load balancing (multiple servers, horizontal scaling)
⁃ Infrastructure autoscaling (e.g. AWS EC2 autoscaling groups)
⁃ Caching (e.g. using Varnish or Redis)
⁃ CDNs like CloudFront or Cloudflare
⁃ Database replicas (read/write)

We do recommend building a custom solution when a goal it to have high traffic, as we can build in infrastructure and code optimisation to allow for this from the very beginning.

To directly answer your question “what would you advise one's developers be proficient in to code from scratch”, PHP is fine, but it’s more about cloud architecture, so ideally you’d have a solution architect / cloud architect / devops engineers in the team to handle this properly.

I'm pretty sure there are ready solutions, I can't recommend any tho, as we usually build such software from scratch. Estimate for building it from scratch really depends on what you actually wish to be implemented from the features. Like if you wish cheap and quick solution, then some pre-made template for the FE can be used, and backend can have only basic functionality, and some rough estimate would be maybe a month. However it can easily be expanded to several months if you wish to upload videos from admin, cut trailers from the admin, have some more advanced streaming, CDN, basically if you wish more advanced CMS then it will take more time

If you have written any of the Cam sites, I would like to be able to fetch my stats there as well.

Especially StripChat and CAM4.

Stripchat has a stats API, you have to get a 'nifty stats token' and then use this endpoint http://api.stripcash.com/external/v1/user/statistics . The stats token is passed through as a bearer auth token header

It's a tricky question because it really depends what your widget needs to do, and what service you are using is allowing you to do. Probably some javascript injection, but like I said need more details to be able to hep you. Feel free to contact us with more details and we could give you a hint.
