As most of us probably know, next year Google will stop using old analytics. It seems we are about to lose decades of collected data. It seems there will be no way of importing existing data. So:

1. Is there some desktop or server-side app that could interpret the current format of exported GA data?

2. What are the advantages of GA 4 and have you already tried it?

It's not doom and gloom

1. Make an audit of your UA property
2. Plan out the structure of your GA4 account
3. Manage your user permissions
4. Check your property settings
5. Identify the events to be migrated
6. Check what custom dimensions and metrics should be set up
7. Recreate your conversions
8. Implement eCommerce tracking
9. Link your GA4 to other tools
10. Take care of your historical data - Now - how to do that - you can export your data to BigQuery to be able to continue your analysis.

With this integration, you can collect the raw data and use it for advanced analysis use cases.

Generally speaking, you have 3 options available:

1. Using a UA built-in option for the report export. This could be an option if you want to have only a few reports within a certain timeframe. You would be able to download the data in the following formats: PDF, Google Sheets, XLSX, and CSV.
2. Using an external data pipeline provider.
3. Using the native UA connector, which is available for Google Analytics 360 only

I am an old school and have tried to do the transition to GA 4 but I am unable to do it, too complex. I guess I will stop using GA.

Do you know another app which is similar to the old GA and which is easy to install ?
